Anyone else still waiting for their Japan visa from VFS Makati?

I feel down. Until now, wala pa ring changes sa status ng Japan visa application namin ng asawa ko. June 9 yung appointment ko sa VFS Makati. Still "Under process to the Embassy of Japan in Pasay" pa rin. Pang 14 working days na ngayon. Sa July 8 na yung flight namin.

Nag-follow up email na ako last Friday sa VFS, at sabi naman nila wala namang additional documents needed from us.

Need Advice from Filipinos Working in Sint Maarten

Hi everyone!

I recently received a job offer in Sint Maarten for an Accounting position. Is there anyone here currently working or living in Sint Maarten?

I’d love to ask about the usual payroll deductions, estimated take-home pay, and the average monthly cost of living (rent, utilities, groceries, transportation, etc.).

Any insights or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Considering a Job Offer in Sint Maarten – Is USD 5,000/month enough for an Accountant?

Hi everyone! I’m from the Philippines and recently received a job offer in Sint Maarten as an Accountant with a gross salary of USD 5,000 per month. The company doesn’t provide housing, so I’ll be paying for my own accommodation (I’m open to sharing an apartment or renting a room).

I’d love to hear from locals or expats:
* What are your average monthly expenses for rent, utilities, groceries, transportation, and other daily costs?

* What would you estimate my monthly take-home pay to be after taxes and mandatory deductions?

* Would this salary allow me to live comfortably and still save?

Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I Guess I Have A Type…

Most of these have been with me since 2022, except for the tropical belt bag. Looking at them together, I guess I have a soft spot for colorful Coach bags over monograms.

Which one is your favorite?
