I hosted this years murder mystery for my friends, theme Murder at the Speakeasy.
I had a small budget but lots of time to plan, maybe someone will pick up some inspiration. Thoroughly recommend, we had an amazing night!
Just for fun: info is my SO works in various locations and knows the staff at each pretty well. He often brings home food from the canteens. Yesterday he brought back some cake in this box. What do you think it meant?
I’m sitting in with my daughter as much as possible before her driving test next month and wanting to get in plenty of practice anywhere that she’s likely to end up on her test.

UK peeps will understand the vibe if I tell you it’s a typical social club room with a dj and buffet.
There will be maybe 100-120 people and I’m thinking of getting some buffet warmers and doing a few hot foods - bolognese, Chilli, pulled pork, chicken curry. Sides of potato wedges, tortilla chips, rice, baked potatoes etc
Question is how exactly do I calculate how much to make so the food doesn’t run out?
Made just now for my teen and her boyfriend because what exactly do you make for visiting kids? She took one look said she didn’t like burgers and is now making them both Buldak. Is it that bad?

Some of you are taking this very seriously which has made me giggle. My daughter and her boyfriend are both autistic and she only eats about 3 things. I still make other things firstly because I live in hope she will eat other things but also because her bf should be offered decent food.
I just checked the kitchen and they have eaten the chicken burgers and covered the rest up and put the sides in the fridge so I’m happy.
