My starter bangle

Sorry I don't know how to take super flatting photos, but I just wanted to show it off. My favorite part are the brown freckles 💕

Can't sleep in my bangle

Found a lovely bangle finally, but when I went to sleep in it I was really uncomfortable. I sleep on my stomach with my hand under my chest.

Any suggestions to make it more comfortable during the night? I'm thinking about taking it off to sleep, but I'd really prefer not to have to do that since it's pretty snug and hurts to put on.

My first bracelet

I really tried to make bangles work, but I like how easy beads are to wear. The gold charm makes a pretty sound, too!

A question about beads

Newb here. I'd like to invest in a jade bead bracelet, but I'm confused about the elastic bands used in this type of jewelry.

How often do you have to change to a new elastic? Has your elastic band ever snapped/broken on you?

Bean and Mushroom soup

Sorry it's not pretty, but I've been loving this soup lately.

Rough recipe:

- a ton of shiitake mushrooms

- 1/2 a huge onion or a small whole onion

- a cup of mung beans

- 1 liter of veggie broth + extra water if needed

- 1 teaspoon of marmite

- 1 teaspoon of thyme, 1/2 teaspoon of oregano

Cook the onion first until it's golden, then add the mushrooms and cook until there's a nice brown frond at the bottom. Deglaze with the broth, then add the rest of the ingredients and simmer for about 25 minutes.

Enemies to lovers but she was married to him before and lost her memory?

I read a fantasy romance book awhile ago and can't remember the name, please help me.

I remember the mom gave her daughter to the villain, maybe in marriage or just to be a hostage in his kingdom, I'm not sure. Anyway, things unravel and she comes to the realization that actually he is her lover and the mom has put a curse or something on them so she doesn't remember him at all.

I think I overdid it 😢

I have been dealing with chronic sinus infections, which means lots of antibiotics.

It's been two weeks since my last antibiotic, and immediately after I stopped taking them I moved to a fiber-heavy, plant-based diet.

The first week went great. However, I woke up two days ago with heavy nausea. I haven't really wanted to eat anything but plain bread and bananas.

I want to start back on this diet, so I tried a bean dish yesterday but felt sick right after. Any tips for getting back on track with a sensitive stomach?

Almost done with antibiotics but still have green mucus

Just a bit of background:

I constantly got sinus infections, literally any time I got a cold or something I ended up with an infection. It got to a point where I was on antibiotics for months on and off. My ENT told men that it was my sinus structure that was causing the mucus not to drain, so I chose to have a septoplasty+turbinate reduction with FESS.

I had the surgery about two months ago, and it healed beautifully. Everything up there looks great! However, two weeks ago I must have gotten a cold. At first, I was optimistic because my nose was super open and draining nicely due to the surgery. However, after 7 days with green mucus and worsening congestion, my ENT said we need to try antibiotics again.

It's the last day of antibiotics, but I still have slight congestion and green mucus. It's not always green, but it's green enough of the day/night that I'm concerned the antibiotics didn't work.

Have you ever had recurrent green mucus that wasn't helped by antibiotics? Is it possible to have an infection that lingers afterwards? Can green mucus not necessarily mean a bacterial infection?

First time getting sick, happy news

Got my septoplasty + turbinate reduction + FESS last month. 3 days ago I caught a bug of some kind, and I was terrified that I would get a sinus infection because I used to get them after every cold.

I'm happy to report that my nose stayed open these last few days. I still had a fever, body aches, burning sinuses, snot..but very little congestion. I didn't even need to take pseudoephedrine because my nose was perfectly open.

For normal people, I sound like a weirdo, but I'm thinking maybe there are people here who understand what a success this is! I still need to see how things progress long term, but I'm currently feeling hopeful 👍.

I was skeptical because I'm not really into strong florals at the moment, but it's really lovely. It's kind of like a light lemon tea that dries down to magnolia and musk. It's about to get brutally humid here, so I think this will be perfect. Happy mother's day, everyone!

I'm almost a month out, and everything seems to be healing well, but I'm still not able to sleep flat without it making me congested. I miss it so much!

Should I be concerned? Surgery included septoplasty, turbinate reduction, and FESS. My nostrils now pull inward when I suck in air, especially on the right side. FYI, when I'm breathing normally, everything looks fine.
