Ilha Grande, on Rio de Janeiro’s Costa Verde, is one of those places that feels almost unreal.

The island stayed largely untouched until 1994 because it was home to a maximum-security prison for decades. Even earlier, it was used as a quarantine station for people arriving in Brazil by ship. Ironically, that history is a big part of why nature here is still so well preserved.

Today, there’s a small village with great restaurants and cozy guesthouses, but no cars. Most of the island is still wild, and many of the beaches can only be reached by boat or after hours of hiking through the Atlantic rainforest.

Easily one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen. 💚💛

Vocês trocariam de lugar para se sentarem longe de bebês e crianças? Pagariam pela remarcação se fosse necessário?

Eu achei a proposta da JAL interessante, assim a pessoa sabe mais ou menos o que esperar e vai se preparando psicologicamente.

Uma observação: nunca tive problemas com crianças durante voos longos, mas com grupos de adolescentes bagunceiros, sim.

Como lidar com esse tipo de gente?

My cat is obsessed with rubber flip-flops, and I think it's the cutest thing ever watching him play with and frantically bite all the Havaianas. I probably already have an entire hard drive full of photos and videos of it. Hahaha.
