My L15 died and I’m devastated

Link to the whole situation that’s going on in my community tank.

I lost one of my L15s this morning and I’m so disappointed and frustrated. I had to treat the tank for parasites so I added ParaCleanse to the tank. That medication can drive oxygen levels down but I have an air stone and surface agitation. I woke up to one of them floating belly up this morning. I’m pretty sure I suffocated them.

I’ve never had luck with plecos despite having apistos, otos, corydoras, and tetras. They all seem to die within months of getting them. I’ve never thought that plecos can be such a fickle fish.

I have a liquid test kit and my parameters are ph 6.5-7, ammonia 0, nitrite 0, and nitrate ~5 (plants). It’s a 75gal tank with plenty of seasoned wood and plants. I always feed the bottom of my tank heavily because of the corys. I also give them zucchini, cucumber, and broccoli whenever I can. What on earth is going on? Or am I just having a series of unfortunate circumstances?

When do wineries start closing down for the season?

I need a break. Work is super stressful. We want to go back to Ithaca and the Finger Lakes soon. My husband and I took a road trip east a few years ago and stopped around there and loved it. We want to go again. Only issue was we went the last week of September and a lot of the wineries were closed down for the season.

Unfortunately again I can’t take another vacation until August/September. When do the wineries start to close for the season? I want to be able to make it before places start closing down again.

Edit: I’m pretty sure we went in 2021 and everything was still weird cuz of Covid. I think we’re gonna aim for early to mid September.

Anybody lose two huskies? They ran up to our house this evening.

I want to go away and float down a river…

Where’s a decent place within the state (or about 3hours away) where my husband and I can go river tubing? Bonus points if there’s camping nearby. I always saw people in Mohican State Park river tubing as a kid, but is there a better place?
