Getting my life together i think pt 7 the kitchen

Re-upload because i realized you could see my mail in one of my photos and i dont need creepers knowing where i live. I have never had to use my sig in self defense and i hope i never have to. But blasting my location on reddit seems to be a good way to find out just how prepared i am to protect my home.

Brief recap if you're new to the series.

  1. Depressed 4 years. Couple that with severe anxiety.

  2. ADHD for daaaaays.

  3. My home was a depression pile mess in every room.

  4. Life events caused me to have to clean everything.

These are the results for months of work while working 65+ hours a week while fighting against everything in my being that said "give the fuck up".

Okay. Anyone who knows me knows....I fucking hate cleaning the kitchen. I hate doing dishes. It is the thing I loath doing most in this world. That and laundry. I do them both now but damn. I still hate it. 😒 but. It is just me now and it is manageable as long as I keep up with it every day while my mind still tells me "give up. It doesnt fucking matter." But it does matter. I have to show up for me because I am the only one who is going to. I used to believe in heroes. But Heroes don't exsist. There is no captain America that is going to shield me from the ravages of the world. No John Wick who will go on a slaughter fest to take revenge for me. No friendly neighborhood spider man that will keep my city streets safe or Star Lord that will welcome me into the fold of his band of misfits. There is just me and my dog. And that has to be enough. The only person who knows everything about me is me. So I am the only one who can fix me. Relying on other always ends in disappointment or I end up broken all over again. At some point I just stayed broken and learned to adapt and will some day overcome my demons. I hope anyway. One way or another.

Adapting to this changing life and it's bullshit is slowly happening.

Well....that was an emo tangent....😅 . My kitchen is clean. I am proud of it. But still have things to do. I need to move all my craft things into my craft room once I build the shelving in there. I have deaigned what i want to build. I have lumber that I am going to re-purpose. Need to get a saw and i can start the build. Maybe ill post the process of it. Or at least thw finished product. I don't know. We shall see. I have to give my mom, aunt and sister in law a huge thanks for tackling the mountain of dishes that were in there. They are the closest thing I have to actual heroes.

I feel like i am all over the fucking place today...a lot has happened the past few weeks. My mind is reeling. My chest fucking hurts every day. I am in constant fight or flight for no reason and unfortunatly, I always choose fight. My therapist is going to have a field day with me this week -.- i dont really know if it is helping. But it is kind of nice having someone to complain to that HAS to listen because I am paying her. It's hard to put my troubles on people I actual know. I don't want to stress them out. I have a couple good friends I tell a lot of things to but thwy have their own stresses. I don't want thwm burdened with mine too....what the fuck is this? An ADHD journal entry? Shit. Here's the kitchen pics. 🤦‍♀️ like most of my other posts it was worse than the before pics. I took the before after I had already started doing some cleaning.

Finally getting my life together i think pt 6 The Master Bath

Okay, for those following the journey, skip ahead to the next paragraph. You know the story. Been in depression for 4 years. I have cleaned the bare minimum in those four years. I made sure gross trash was gone so there weren't bugs in the house. I am still struggling with depression but I am fighting. In December of last year life events happened (not getting into the sob story here as it is an ongoing issue.) that ultimately lead to me having to clean my house/depression pile from top to bottom. So the past few months I have been working on it. The shower has it's own post and there are lots of tips and tricks people left

The master bath. The before pictures here aren't even the worst of it. Everything in that garden tub was across the fucking floor. Clothes. Shoes. Boxes. Why boxes? I dont know. But they were there. I threw everything in the tub to pretty much get it out of the floor and in a contained space. I still need to saw that stupid riser thing off the toilet and cut the rusted bolts off and put the new seat on but over all, I am thrilled with my bathroom now. At the end of all of this, I am taking a damn bubble bath.

Finally getting my life together i think pt 5 The Livingroom

I am struggling today. The last seven months have been tough and the last 2 and a half have been....brutal. Again. Not going into my drama here. I am still pushing through. Still fighting. Just feeling defeated temporarily. But I am done cleaning the house. And it feels so much better to live in. But man, even with all the progress and "wins" it is so hard to celebrate right now. I don't really have anything to celebrate except a clean house so I will just have a party of one for that accomplishment. I'll post the rest of the house soon for those who have been following. I have to find the before pics. Anyway. Here's a before and after of the livingroom. I can play video games without the chaos now. Throwing in puppy tax at the end because that little shit is the reason that is stronger than my "13 reasons".

I still have to declutter more but for now, I am satisfied that it is livable.

Milwaukee Packout? Holy Crap.

Anyone who knows Milwaukee or has a Milwaukee man in their life knows how expensive these things are! I work delivering materials to construction sites found this beauty chilling in the dumpster. The first couple deliveries I was like "that HAS to be a mistake. That is a $90 tool case!" But by the third time I went in to this site, more trash had been tossed on top of it. So I'm like, okay. Must be broken. Doesn't hurt to check it out right?....it's brand new. The foam insert was taken out. But the case is brand freakin new. Needless to say, i took that shit.

Finally getting my life together in think pt. 3 the dreaded shower....

Here we go again. Long story short. Was in depression for 4 year. Still fighting. Life events have made me have to clean my house up of it's depression pile. On to the shower.

The entire time I have been cleaning my house I have DREADED this shower. Its 2 and a half years of built up sediment. My water is well water and very hard so the rust and minerals just built up. After 2 hours of scrubbing and countless chemicals, this is what I have so far. I still need to go over it again but my arms are jelly and the bulk is gone.

Finally getting my life together I think. Pt 2: bedroom progress

Update on the cleaning of the house after struggling with severe depression for years, life changing drastically multiple times over the past 6 months and events happening to where i HAVE to get the house cleaned up for reasons I shan't state here. I posted the two spare rooms previously and now I have done my bedroom. The rest of the house is mostly done but donations and trash bags are around and I want those gone before posting the rest of my progress through it.

After years of sleeping in a bedroom that was barely livable, I am very proud of the outcome here. It feels so good sleeping in a room that i dont feel is going to suffocate me. Yes. I still need to declutter some more but the goal is to clean up the house. I will be doing a "stuff purge" after it is all straightened. I am still struggling to bring myself out of depression but I am working on that. The past 6 months have been hard. The past 2, even harder. But I haven't un-alived myself so I call that a win.

The first pic is grainy but that was the worst of it. The next few were some progress pics and the last ones, obviously, are it finished.....don't judge my stuffie collection. A lot of them will be gone during the purge.

Edit: someone posted a comment about my plushies and "how old am I that I have so many". That comment was deleted I guess because I couldn't find it to answer. ........35. I have so many because I love them and they made me happy on my darkest days. Come at me. Lol I am an artist. I am a nerd. I find joy in shaped squishy things.

Finally getting my life together in think....

I have been depressed for years. (Not going to go into my sob story here) To the point to where I almost took the dirt nap last year. Thank God for my dog because he is the only reason I am here today. Anyway, a lot has changed in my life over the past 6 months. Since I moved in to this house almost 6 years ago it has mainly been a hoarders paradise. Life events have forced me to get it cleaned up and since I am finally coming out of my depression I am actually enjoying doing it. Here's some before and after pics of the two rooms ive completely finished. Mind you, those two rooms were worse at one point. But I would try to clean every once in a while but never got far enough to feel like it made a difference. The first room used to be REALLY bad. Like a slim path to the closet and thats it. The pink room is still have to get the old mattresses out of but thats it. I am finally getting my life back. I still have far to go. But I am so proud of my progress.

In love with this!

I am loving this! I got the bottom helix on valentines day (the piercing artist was phenominal) and wanted to do a three stack. So I went to last week to get two more and the woman who helped me pick out jewelry brought up the idea of the triangle. And I am obsessed! The conch was a bitch and the piercing guy (diffrent from my first one) went painfully slow! Then slipped while putting the jewlery in...I almost kicked him in the knee instinctively. But it was worth it. I have a history with self harm and now when I have that itch I go get piercings so I don't fall back into that routine. This year has been hard. The past three weeks have been hell. The demons came crawling so I went to the Studio. But I am so in love with the look. Already have my next 9 planned out.

The one thing that always makes me smile.

Puppy tax has been thrown in (Wick's baby pics). Love this boy so much. He has helped me through the absolute worst times in my life. I can say he literally saved my life last November. Hes just my Lil cute baby even if he can be an asshole.
