Grabbed these from QuikTrip because they were out of my usual Sesh cans. These are my new favorite. They have a soft stretchy material that is more comfortable than any other pouch I have used. 100% recommend.

Looking to buy a used PS5. Found these online at a local pawn shop. They have all of them priced at $375. Trying to figure out which one is the best bang for the buck since they are priced the same. I know the big ones are the old model so I’m ruling those out, as well as the digital. I noticed the one in the middle looks different than all the others (different shape around the disk drive, the black line on the side) What is the difference? Thanks in advance.
EDIT: I guess what I’m mostly wondering about is the difference between the one in the middle, and the one of the far right. They are the same size, but they look very different.
Hi there,
I am currently in a refi MLO role at a very large retail lender. Have been in the mortgage industry from 2021-23, was laid off, and just got back into it earlier this year. People are dropping like flies and this place is a revolving door. Looking to get out of this industry altogether, as it has not been very good to me. I found an opening for Investment Counselor- Wealthbuilder at Fisher Investments here in Dallas. Description states that it is an entry level financial advisor alternative, and starts you off with training for Series 65. I feel like my experience as an MLO would translate over well to something like this. The problem is i’m pushing 31, so I’m a little nervous to start off in a totally new area of business at the entry level. Anyone know how this role works and if it might be a good route for me to look in to?
This is on a 2014 passat. Recently (like within last 6 months) after driving more than 15 mins or so, the radiator fan stay on full blast for several minutes after shutting the engine down. Used to only do this during a regeneration cycle, but now it’s every drive. Checked google, and none of those things apply to me as far as I know. Anyone else have this going on and know what caused it?
Posted about this recently, after I got my probation release form emailed to me, along with a surprise order to remove my interlock device a year earlier than the judge originally ordered. Well after about a week, today I was finally able to get the device removed by Smart Start, so this means I am 100% done!! This was a 2nd DUI in Denton County, TX. Happened in June of 2023, so this has been a thorn in my side for a little three years. But I’m so relieved it’s finally over and I can move on with my life. For anyone who recently got a DUI, it may seem hopeless at first, but it’s just mistake that you have to own up to and face the consequences- but remember it’s just a temporary road block as long as you keep yourself on the right path!
I was arrested in June of 2023 for 2nd DWI. Waited almost a year for my first court date, and was sentenced to 20 months probation, 5 days in jail, and 80 hours of community service. The judge also ordered for the breathalyzer to remain in my car until 11/2027 (I have had it since 2023, initially as a condition of my bond). My probation ended a few days ago, so of course I was expecting a termination document. Not only did I get that, I also got a surprise order to remove the breathalyzer!! 1 year and 4 months earlier than the judge originally ordered. Guess he was in a good mood today!
I am so glad this nightmare is finally over, and I was able to power through the probation term with no issues. Those of you going through this right now- stay on the right path and you will see the light at the end of the tunnel! I am NEVER making this stupid mistake again!
EDIT: it’s not 100% over. License is still suspended until November of this year, but I have an occupational license to get to and from work at least.
Hi all.
As the title suggests, I am looking into stepping away from mortgage and make a career change to financial services. I got into the mortgage industry right at the end of the low Covid rates (terrible timing), and have been through multiple layoffs at different companies. I took a 2 year career break after the last layoff, and now I am currently an MLO at Rocket. This place is a revolving door, and I’m really not having much success here, so I’m probably next. I have considered leaving and working for another lender, but I have realized due to past experiences that maybe staying in this industry isn’t the best idea. The definition of “insanity” is repeating the same thing and expecting a different result each time.
There are some job listings at places like Vanguard here in Dallas that offer training for licensing and act as a springboard to higher-level opportunities. Since I was able to pass that brutal MLO SAFE exam, I don’t think passing SIE, Series 7 and all the others be a huge challenge for me. Would yall say that this is a good transition from the mortgage space? And would my experience as an LO carry over well? I have limited knowledge on financial stuff, as being an LO is basically a sales job.
Thanks for reading.
EDIT: Also yes, I do have a college degree. Business administration.
Anytime the AC turns off, it makes this whirring sound. It’s a lot louder than it seems in the video. I turned the fan on and off manually with the thermostat in order to record this video. Is this normal? Or do I need to have my apartment maintenance check it out. It’s really annoying especially at night when i’m trying to sleep.
I am currently a refi LO at Rocket. I hate this job with a burning passion. Are there any other lenders in the Dallas area that you’d recommend looking into? I have limited experience- 6 months at Better Mortgage, 6 months at Mr. Cooper, and a few months at Rocket.
Any leads would be appreciated.
I’m looking to make some extra money on top of my 9-5. There is a country club nearby with an open PM bartender position. Anyone here who has worked at a country or golf course- is it any good? I have worked in an upscale restaurant in a nice neighborhood, so I would think that a country club would be similar, except you aren’t dealing with the general public.
Hello all,
I am currently on probation for DWI in Denton county, TX. I’m in month 18 of 20, so the end is near. I served the majority of my probation in Fort Bend county, and I was reporting to a PO there. I recently moved back to the DFW area, and my Denton PO overseeing my case is allowing me to report remotely because I only have a couple months, and I have never failed a drug test. I did slip up and drink recently, does Denton do a hair follicle test at the end the probation term? From what I understand, they don’t, but I’d like to hear some more voices on this.
So I just finished training at Rocket in Dallas. Today was my first day in production. Got a call from a a client wanting to get a HEL and I had no clue how to use the systems, because the systems training was terrible. Now I feel like she isn’t going to want to proceed because I was stumbling through the call trying to figure out what to do, even though I eventually got her a loan priced out that is achieving her goals. Can any Rocket people here tell me how long it took y’all to get the systems and flow down? I’ve only got one day of production in the books and feel like this is going to be a nightmare.
Moved into a new apartment a few days ago, and whenever the AC turns off, it makes this whirring noise. Anyone know what it is? Is it something I need to bring up to the apartment maintenance guys? Also I don’t have access to the AC unit to look at it (it’s behind the door in the video, which is locked and they don’t give tenants the key).
