Samsung Care+ perma-bans your phone if you miss a payment?

My battery is shot on my S25 Ultra and I need a replacement. I've always done Samsung Care+ monthly so I went to schedule a replacement. I saw it's not covered, and could not figure out why. Went to my order page and saw it hasn't been charged since January; I got a new debit card and forgot to change it.

I saw it's open enrollment for SC+ right now so tried to enroll my phone, but kept getting the message "Registration failed. IMEI number is invalid. Please try again.". I finally called support and she informed me that if SC+ comes off your phone, your IMEI gets banned from being on SC+ again. Wild!

Samsung Care+ perma-bans your phone if you miss a payment?

Query Identification: 01098172

Title: [Galaxy S25 Ultra]

Description: [My battery is shot and I need a replacement. It's draining far more rapidly than it ever has, and it's been shutting off from low power anywhere from 17% to 2%. The odd thing is when I plug it in it starts charging at whatever percent it shut off at, so it knows what I have remaining.

Things I have tried: [I have:

  • let the phone die completely and then charge it to full while off

  • run battery diagnostics

  • check the battery health and charge in third party apps like AccuBattery]

Device Name: [Galaxy S25 Ultra]

Device Model Number: [SM-S938U]

Internet slows/disconnects every night, fine otherwise

Every day, generally at the same time (9pm MST), my network slows in speed by 95% (or disconnects entirely) and it takes upward of 10 minutes - sometimes an hour - to fix. I have tried everything to remedy this and I'm at the end of the line. I'll try go through everything that could be relevant.

I have Xfinity at home, with a theoretical speed of 1.3gbps, though it's never really above 800mbps. The upload is pretty measly at 40mbps, and it's been that way for 8 years. Everything generally seems to work fine. I have a brand new XB8 Xfinity modem, and it's in bridge mode mode being routed to an ASUS RT-AX1800s, which is broadcasting to a mesh node (RT-AX55) and is also wired through the house's walls to my desktop and Xbox. I thought it was possibly faulty or old wiring in the walls, but this wouldn't explain why WiFi devices also lost connection or showed slow speeds.

I play online with my friend often at night. Nearly every time we play, I start getting the lag indicator in the game (Marvel Rivals), and it eventually devolves into the fully disconnected indicator. My friend says when this happens I'm running in place and my voice chat goes from robotic to just disconnected. At first, I assumed the problem could be the game's network, but that was quickly dismissed. Then I suspected my Xbox, but when I checked the speed test on my desktop, it showed the network speed down to anywhere from 10mbps to 1mbps, and sometimes it just didn't work at all and the Internet was fully disconnected. The same happened on my phone. In fact, at 3am as I'm writing this, my speed check is showing 1.23mbps download and everything is fairly slow.

I have tried everything I can think of;

- I replaced all the older Cat5 cables with brand new Cat6

- I bought 2 new mesh router systems thinking it could be the routers, but the problem happened on both new ones (Tenda BE5100 and Deco 7 BE25)

- I've switched from wired to wireless connections and back again

If anyone has any inkling of an idea of what I can try next, I would greatly appreciate the help. It's really infuriating to have this problem constantly with no idea of what to do.

My family gets the Barber Foods Cordon Blue from Costco, and we really enjoy it, except I cannot for the life of me figure out how to bake it without it oozing out all the cheese. I've looked it up and tried multiple methods and none of them work. Is it actually possible? I'd love to hear any methods you've come across!
