Recap ou não recap? Eis a questão

She will never became a ribbon master =(

A few months ago, I stumbled upon this full odds shiny zigzagoon on sapphire. I was thinking about doing a Gen III ribbon master for a while, and a random encounter like that practically begged for it! A Linnone RM would be quite an adventure!

So I started the process. I got a copy of Gale of Darkness and started a new file, gathered the good berries for the contests and began the arduous work of planting them.

It took me 9 months to bring my RM Luxray from Platinum to Violet, so I knew this would be a very long journey.

The pkm Bank shutting down made me give up on it.

Now I’m wondering what to do with her. My idea is to give up all the battle towers/masons/trees/whatever and just collect the viable ribbons along the journey...

Is there a community for "Pokémon Ribbon Rockies"?

RNG in repro cartriges

So, I refurbished a GBC and bought a repro Pokémon Blue to try it. The game doesn't have a battery, I think it saves directly on the flash memory (it freezes for a sec when saving).

The thing is that I feel like the random events are really weird compared with my experiences in emulators and the 3DS version. Sometimes it takes ages for an encounter to happen and moves with an effect chance almost never trigger.

Am I imagining things or the rom on this repro cartridge is a weird mod or something?

What is a Cyberdeck anyway?

I finished my DIY MP3 player using an ESP32-C3 SuperMini. It was a great project, and I learned a lot making it, but it got me thinking: isn't that a specialized cyberdeck?

It is a computer with buttons, an interface, and a screen, and it gives off these cyberpunk vibes... The only thing separating projects like this from a 'traditional' cyberdeck is that it was built for a specific purpose. It is not a general-purpose computer.

So, what is a cyberdeck anyway?
