Meta permanently disabled my personal payment profile after my account was hacked in 2019. No way to contact a human.
I'm completely stuck and hoping someone has experienced this before.
Back in 2019, our Facebook Business account was hacked. The attacker apparently violated Meta's advertising policies, and both of our ad accounts were permanently disabled.
I fully accept that those ad accounts will never be restored.
The real problem is something different:
My personal Facebook payment profile is now permanently disabled.
I receive the message:
"Your payments are disabled. You can't make payments with your personal Facebook profile."
Because of this I:
- cannot create a new Business Portfolio
- cannot create new ad accounts
- cannot add payment methods
- cannot delete the old Business because the disabled ad accounts, payment methods and pixel cannot be removed
I spent hours with Meta AI Support, but it keeps sending me in circles. Every response focuses on the permanently disabled ad accounts, even though I repeatedly explain that I'm not asking for those accounts to be restored.
The AI simply repeats the same generic answers, tells me the old ad accounts cannot be reactivated, and refuses or is unable to escalate the issue to a human support agent. It completely ignores the actual problem: my personal payment profile is disabled, which prevents me from creating any new Business Portfolio.
At this point, I have no way to contact a real person at Meta, and I'm effectively locked out of Meta Business because of a hack that happened seven years ago.
Has anyone experienced this?
- Were you able to get your personal payment profile restored?
- Is there any way to reach a real Meta employee?
- Is there any hidden support form or escalation path?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I'm honestly out of ideas.
