Every time at the gym!

Every time at the gym!

This is one of my primary needs for the watch. I downgraded the watch and it worked, then it updated itself.

Is there a fix? Or do I just get rid of this?

At the gym, frustrated.

Thanks in advance!

Storm water and shade project?

Hey folks-

Saw this project in Tuscan and it's having pretty amazing results from enabling the soil to absorb more water and enabling native plants which in turn bring more shade... Everyone wins here.

Are there any similar programs in Vegas to explore?

Transitioning to futon - Can I use bedframe for a bit?

Hey all-

Please don't hate on me - my back is killing me and I live in a small apartment. We are looking to switch out our old mattress and replace with a futon (taking recommendations - but looking at futon tokyo / futonbedsfromjapan). Just getting rid of the old mattress is going to be a bit of a pain in my back and I don't think the local pickup will take our bedframe.

Long story short - my frame is a lightly padded but firm - has a little give, airflow, etc.. and will get us about 12inches closer to the ground.

Has anyone done this?
Is this a bad idea?

I think we will eventually get rid of it - but just looking to take care of things slowly vs having to do it all in 1 day (we don't have the space for a staging area) as well as buying some now, and more later.

Thanks in advance!

Timeline for switching to discover network?

Hey folks-

I think we know that venture x will eventually leave the visa network. My son is in Europe and already experiencing issues with his discover network debit card ... I worry about a shift for a travel card as I'm usually way outside the big tourist spots that will either be the very last to support this or never will.

Do we know when this change is planned?

Capital One support and service

My child is currently traveling with a debit card that is being declined. Eno says nothing, the app says nothing and support cannot help me or them until business hours.

What kind of customer support is this?

This is not an acceptable level bank service.

If I need to open an account or something this is fine. But not having a way to find out how to access their money while traveling is a big red flag.

Customer support that I did get to, hung up on me twice.

I hope someone sees this and contacts me as this is incredible.

Additionally as a venture x customer I wanted to see if I could get a card sent to them. They didn't even know the time line for how long this could take... Sounds like a really poor training for their service team.

Yes I'm I'm upset but really... This seems way below a reasonable standard.

Do I really need a US residency?

Hey folks-

I think we all know the US banks need a physical address - which I personally think is old school ( why can't I register my SSN + passport number and call it a day?!).

Regardless, it seems like:

- to keep the banks happy I need a physical address

- most, if not all of those domicile services have a horror story attached to them

Right now, we are exploring where we would want to spend significant time in the US compared to when we are just traveling around. At this point, we feel like we don't know/ want to settle down yet.. seems like a crazy expense just to keep the banks in compliance.

What are people doing with success? Am I overthinking the issue( very possible)?

I'd like to avoid leveraging family addresses.

Should it help I use Schwab, Fidelity and Venture X cards. All seem good with international but don't want to tell them I have no us address when the time comes should it upset all of my accounts.

Thanks in advance!

Hey all-

I have all but retirement assets at empower and thinking of dropping them - both the platform + value for cost.

Spoke to fidelity and good/bad there are so many options. Would like some community feedback on what works, what is worth it etc..

First off, I'm about 10yrs + from retirement, and don't want to have daily, weekly or monthly actions I need to take for the investments. Let's set it up and forget about it .. or have someone else do it for me.

High cost (most hands off): fidelity unified wealth management

Medium cost: individual strategy for each of the separate accounts ( seemed to be on par with Fidelity go)

Low cost (most hands on): self directed

I was also told that given the asset size I'd get a wealth management team for free regardless of what I do.

What are your experiences? What do you think is best?

Obviously they would like me to take the high cost one - it might be worth it but hard to quantify as the variables are so many.

Thanks in advance!

Also, any tips on moving from empower works be appreciated I know they will fight me to keep my money where it is.
