some ideas?

This cameras are exchanged against new models and are therefore available for free at my work.

Because I do photography I know that lenses which are made in Japan most of the time very good.

And now I think what I could possibly do with these things here. I do not have very much knowledge about electronics but maybe some of you have an idea what I could do with this instead of throwing them away.

[SKX007] proud and solid

Hey all,

I bought this beautiful Seiko SKX007 from the first money I got from my apprenticeship in 2018.

Since then I wear it everywhere and often. Never did a service yet, thought about getting into it maybe this year but still runs smooth and I'm still very proud to own it 👌🏼

rate my rolling shots

I love rolling shots.

Sitting in the trunk, feeling every movement of the car, the smell of the exhaust fumes hitting your face while shooting, the wind rushing past, and the adrenaline running through your veins, all of that for a single good shot.

But I’d love to hear your opinion about this specific shoot and the rolling shots that came out of it.

And yes, this is the same car as in my previous post, but this was actually our first shoot together. We met for the first time during this session.

Fun fact: most of the time, there’s one picture from a shoot that becomes the foundation for my color grading. In this case, it wasn’t the first image, it was the last one. The seventh shot became the reference I built the entire color grading around, which ultimately defined the look of all the other pictures from this shoot.

Last week was fun.

I went with my girlfriend to a shooting which was offered to her by two young guys.

So I also took my camera with me to shoot some pictures during their shoot (mostly video).

It was fun because I didn't have the pressure to perform.

Let me know what you think.

▲ 27 r/Mamiya

Good morning everyone,

I’m currently facing a buying decision and would really appreciate your input.

I recently spotted a Mamiya RZ67 Pro in the window of a local photo studio. After going back and forth for a few weeks, I finally caught someone there and asked if the camera was actually for sale. Turns out it’s been sitting there purely as decoration for over 10 years and hasn’t really been used. They didn’t rule out selling it, though.

We exchanged numbers, and shortly after I was able to take a closer look at everything in person. It also seems like the studio might be trying to get rid of it, as they’re apparently going to close down.

I was given a whole case with gear to test at home. Here are a few things I’ve noticed so far:

The viewfinder appears to be from an RB67

One of the film backs also looks like it’s for an RB67, smaller than the one currently attached to the RZ

Something inside the lens looks a bit off, hard to describe, maybe fungus or separation

The shutter speed can only be adjusted on the lens itself, not via the body

The photographer there seemed experienced, apparently trained on an RB67, but couldn’t tell me much about the RZ67 specifically anymore.

So here’s my main question:

Would you buy a setup like this, yes or no

And if yes, what would you consider a fair price given the circumstances

Thanks in advance!
