Hey everyone, hopefully I’m in the right place for this. A very good family friend of mine purchased this boat last year, a Carver 30 Santego. It’s going to be docked at a marina over the summer, and he’s offered me the opportunity to live on the boat for the season in exchange for my help with some DIY tasks, which is a pretty sweet deal for me right now.
Most of it are things I’m more than capable of doing, smaller tasks like deep cleaning the interior, replacing carpet, adding new fixtures etc. The one thing I am not sure on how to approach, is the exterior work. He is going to fund all the supplies, but it’s on me to figure out what I need for the job.
I’m thinking the first step will be to pressure wash the exterior and get it all cleaned up. I will need to get the maroon paint shade matched at a local marine hardware store. He would like me to restore the “Carver” lettering on the side, touch up some other areas, and remove the “Nauticlu” lettering (previous owner renamed it that, so he’s changing the name back to what it was originally).
Is this too daunting of a task for someone without any experience working on boats? Just looking to get a sense of what I’m realistically in for here before committing to or starting this project. I have experience painting inside homes, and not much beyond that, certainly not on boats.
Is this a task I can DIY? What supplies am I going to need for this besides the obvious (paint) or what I’ve already covered?
Hi all, coming here for some advice and routine/product recommendation. I’ve struggled with acne on and off for most of my life, but I feel like I’d been in a good place with my skin for the last few years. Lately though, I’ve been getting some bad breakouts. Mostly on my face.. I’ve also been under a period of extreme stress, and unfortunately there’s not anything I’ll be able to do about that for a while, just gotta keep pushing through.
For awhile my routine has been as follows: washing my face daily with Differin 5% benzoyl peroxide wash, usually 1x daily but sometimes lately has been 2x. Moisturize daily with Cerave daily mosisturizer. At night, I’ve started using Mario Badescu drying lotion as a spot treatment (works pretty well for the most part, but doesn’t help me to prevent new breakouts).
I wear makeup most days of the week, usually all-day wear. I use Micellar water and cotton pads to remove it at the end of day. I used NARS foundation for years, but recently switched to Mac studio fix (liquid foundation).
I thought the Differin wash was actually really helping my skin for a while, but now it seems to be getting bad again. Could I have built a “tolerance” to it maybe, or could it be starting to overly dry my skin? I’ve been getting stuck in a vicious cycle where I want to give my skin a break from wearing makeup everyday, but my skin has been so bad that I also don’t want to leave the house/go to work without it… on days off if I’m just spending the day at home, I won’t wear it to give my skin a break, but nothing seems to really be helping.
I worry that I might be doing “too much” to try and correct it and probably just need to chill out on my skin for a bit, but it’s hard… does anyone have any product or routine recommendations? Maybe makeup brands with acne prone skin in mind? I don’t know what the root of the issue is, though I am going in to get some bloodwork and labs done next week as I’ve lately been suspecting hormonal imbalances.
I’m 26/F, btw. I’ll appreciate any and all advice/tips… thanks guys <3
Hey everyone!
I’ve been diagnosed with ADHD and anxiety for the majority of my life. I’ve gone on/off my ADHD meds for years, and within the last year I’ve gotten on them again, which has been really helping me with daily task management, my ADHD paralyzation, functioning somewhat normally again etc. etc.
That being said, I also used to be prescribed Klonopin some years back when I was having some pretty severe panic attacks. I’ve been under a lot of stress recently.. I had a series of some pretty hardcore events go down, home life has been disrupted, and it’s all been a lot to try and navigate on my own.
I just talked to my doctor today and she was able to get me in for an intake appointment with a therapist next week. I recently got covered by health insurance again which I’ve been so grateful for, and I’m now starting to try and get on top of all this stuff again.
Anyways, I’m wondering what the prognosis would look like for me if I wanted to ask about being put back on my Klonopin again (or another suitable substitute), along with staying on my ADHD meds? I’m going through such a hard time right now, I feel like it would be a huge help. My anxiety has been spiraling out of control again for a long time now, it’s starting to consume my life 😞😞
I guess I’m just posting here to ask others, do you have these meds prescribed together, and was it any trouble for you to get your prescriptions? Either by your doctors, insurance, or pharmacists?
Thanks in advance for any help <3
This is Mitzi. I hired her to help me with taking the advertisement photos for a piece of old furniture I was trying to sell on Marketplace.
In case anyone was wondering, it definitely worked — I never got so much attention from a FB listing before lol
