Hey, all is there any of you leaving Bangalore office and moving to the Jaipur office of Deloitte USI?

Just wanted a Lil guidance on the process

Do people actually like External Financial Statements Audit

Do people really like Audit or just some how end up in it and stay for money, even if it sucks out the life out of you.

I have worked closely with quite a few Seniors, Managers and Senior Manager. Some of them are really really smart and could be doing so well in any other field than why stay in Audit.

But being fairly honest, some seniors I have worked with you aren't getting promotion or are still in charge with \~2 years of experience. Some of them are really really slow minded i feel🫠. What's the point of them being senior if they can't guide a staff also properly. They don't even take the blame and then manager questions me. What to do ?!

I am working in Deloitte USI in A&A

Being fairly honest, not a big fan of work but joined because of CPA. Since I have been seeing a lot of post with MNCs hiring CPAs.

However the real problem is the SM on whose engagements I have my permanent plottings is a real pain. He doesn't approve leaves, and is very inflexible.

This busy season I had a utilisation of 122% literally working from 8am-11pm because our team was understaffed. Now I get it if it's only busy but this other engagement I have been plotted on right after official busy is a new first year client with signing in July 😭 so busy again. And when this ends I am back on that client whose team is under staffed and they have quarter filings.

Amidst all these filings i don't think I will be able to pursue CPA my whole purpose of USI seems defeated. What scares me more is if I register for CPA through Deloitte and end up not being able to do it I won't be able to leave unless I pay them the entire amount or clear all the exams.

I genuinely don't know what to do, can someone please guide me 🥺 maybe help by giving some perspective I am not taking into consideration.

Also, do you guys recommend pursuing CPA even if it means I personally bear all the cost and don't take firm sponsorship? Will it be worth it ?

Also i genuinely want advise is it really worth staying? I feel I don't belong in Audit, everyday feels like a challenge i want to runaway from. My performance is good but I am not happy rather depressed.

There is something urgent everyday, you have be on toes every minute of the day, they treat GAI like anything. It's just one busy client after another, i understand it's not the case with everyone but it is taking a toll on my health.
