Had a great time at Comic Con Vizag, but the action figure prices were disappointing

Had a great time at Comic Con Vizag, but WHAT were those action figure prices?

I visited Comic Con Vizag today, and honestly, I had a pretty good time! The staff were cool, the concerts and cosplays were great, and the stand-up comedy was entertaining too. Overall, the event itself was fun, and I'm glad I went.

However, as someone who's been collecting action figures for around 5 years, I was genuinely shocked by the prices at most of the stalls selling collectibles. Lmao, I don't think I've ever seen so many overpriced figures in one place.

What made it even funnier was that a lot of these stalls were selling bootleg figures and katanas while presenting themselves like some kind of Otaku Heaven. Bro, how are you going to sell bootleg figures at ridiculous prices and expect collectors not to notice?

I'm not expecting every stall to sell everything at the lowest online price. I understand that sellers have expenses, and conventions are a place where people can discover and purchase collectibles in person. But there's a difference between charging a reasonable premium and pricing things as if you're selling some rare, premium collectible when they're actually bootlegs that can be found for much less elsewhere.

That said, not every stall was like this. There were a few shops, like Wow Heads, that had decent pricing, and I appreciate that. It's nice to see sellers who offer reasonable prices instead of relying on the convention atmosphere to convince people to buy things impulsively.

My main concern is that newcomers to collecting might see a figure they like, buy it without knowing the market price, and later discover that they could've gotten it for significantly less. If you're new to collecting, please do some price comparisons before spending your money!

Despite all this, I genuinely enjoyed the event. The concerts, stand-up comedy, and overall atmosphere were great. I just wish the merchandise stalls offered better value, especially for collectors looking for actual action figures rather than overpriced bootlegs.

Title: TCS offer received but no joining letter yet — should I take another full-time offer?

Hi everyone,

I’m a 2026 graduate and I have already received a full-time offer from TCS, but I’m still waiting for my joining letter/joining date.

At the same time, I have another opportunity. I’ve been working with a company for around one year as an unpaid intern, and they are now offering me a full-time paid role with no bond because of the work I’ve done with them over the past year.

The salary they are offering is relatively lower than the package I received from TCS, but the role is confirmed and I already know the team and work environment.

I also have another concern regarding experience and disclosure.

Since I have already worked with this company for around a year as an unpaid intern, if I accept their full-time offer, would this count as work experience? Should I mention it as experience on my resume/background verification, or is it better to mention the internship separately?

Also, if TCS eventually asks about any employment/experience I have after graduation or before joining, should I disclose this full-time employment to HR? I don't want to hide anything and later have an issue during documentation or background verification.

My biggest concern is whether accepting this other job and later joining TCS could somehow affect/revoke my TCS offer if I disclose it properly.

For people who have been through a similar situation with TCS:

- Would you take the confirmed lower-paying job while waiting for the TCS joining letter?

- Does an unpaid internship followed by a full-time offer count as experience?

- How should this be mentioned during TCS documentation/BGV?

- Can accepting another job before joining TCS create an issue with the TCS offer?

Would really appreciate advice from people who have gone through this recently.

Women who have had close male friends, what behaviors made a friendship start feeling emotionally overwhelming?

Hi everyone.

I'm 22 M engineering student and I'm asking this because I want to learn from an experience rather than blame anyone.

I became close friends with a girl during college. Over time I developed feelings for her, but she rejected me. I accepted that, took some distance, and later we became friends again.

After that I tried to be supportive. I checked in on her regularly, encouraged her during difficult times, remembered things she liked, bought thoughtful birthday gifts, and generally tried to be someone she could rely on.

Looking back, I also realized I was almost always the one initiating conversations and checking in. I even asked her about it once, and she told me she usually doesn't message people first and only talks when someone reaches out to her.

Eventually she told me that constantly checking on her and asking about her future ( mostly the current job market) was making her anxious. That conversation made me step back.

Looking back, I can see that I became much more emotionally invested than she did, and I probably crossed the line from being supportive to being over-involved.

My questions are:

  • From your perspective, what kinds of behaviors make a male friend start feeling emotionally overwhelming, even if his intentions are good?
  • Are there any signs that someone is becoming too emotionally invested that they themselves might not notice?
  • If you've been in a similar situation, what do you wish the other person had understood earlier?

I'm not asking anyone to explain her behavior specifically. I'm more interested in understanding what I can learn so I don't repeat the same mistakes in future friendships or relationships.

[22M] Did I invest too much in someone who never felt the same way? Looking for an outside perspective.

I'm a 22-year-old engineering student trying to process something that's been bothering me for years.

I had a crush on a girl since early college. We didn't really talk until we sat together during a lab, which led to Instagram, then WhatsApp, then daily conversations about everything — memes, college, AI, random thoughts, life in general. I developed strong feelings and eventually asked if I had a chance. She rejected me and made it clear she wasn't interested in a relationship.

I accepted it, but my feelings weren't going away. I thought staying close would make it harder to move on, so I distanced myself for about six months. During that time I still bought her a birthday gift because I genuinely cared. When I tried to reach her, I found out she'd blocked me on every platform. I sent the gift through a friend anyway.

Months later Due to Project she and I needed to work together. She said she blocked me because she didn't like that I disappeared all of sudden from her life. We cleared things up and became friends again.

After that we talked almost every day. I checked on her regularly, encouraged her through her internship, suggested movies, remembered things she liked, and gave thoughtful gifts based on her interests. She helped me too at times interview prep tips, checking on me when I was sick so she wasn't completely indifferent.

But I was almost always the one initiating. When I asked her about it, she said she just doesn't message people first. I accepted that, but it still felt like I was carrying the friendship. She also canceled on two in-person plans at the last minute. Eventually she told me that my constant check-ins about her future were making her anxious, which made me realize I'd become too emotionally invested.

Looking back, I know I made mistakes. After the rejection I probably should have accepted that my feelings weren't going away instead of trying to force a friendship while hoping I'd eventually move on. I also became too emotionally involved in her life, and I can understand how that felt overwhelming.

But I can't ignore how one-sided the friendship often felt.

The hardest realization isn't that she rejected me. It's that I spent years paying attention to the smallest details about someone, while I don't think I occupied the same place in her life.

I don't think she intentionally used me. I don't think she owed me a relationship. I don't think she's a bad person. I think I simply loved someone much more deeply than she loved me.

Am I looking at this fairly, or is there something I'm missing?
