Increases?

I’m making something similar to this top-down capelet. Different yarn, different gauge. Is there a reason why the increases seem lopsided, unevenly spaced across each increase row? There are more at the beginning of the row. (All the increase rows are like this.) Am I not just making the work wider, so can I just distribute the increases evenly?

David?

Has anyone tried the David protein bars? 🍫 I’m inundated with ads. Kind of irritating that the website doesn’t have an all-flavor sample pack.

ITAW for above skill level

What is the word/phrase for when someone undertakes a task unknowingly way above their skill level?

For example.

“Just taught myself to knit from YouTube, my first project is this long sweater that will take 5 years, with a very complicated pattern, using difficult yarn [and all other possible obstacles].”

It’s like if someone said, “Hi, new woodworker here, gonna build a full gothic castle with turrets, using wood that I have to go harvest in Estonia and cure for a year first.”

I want to shout AUDACITY! but I think there’s a huge element of naively not knowing what they don’t know. Is there a word for that? It’s not Dunning-Kruger.

The Tinned Fish Market is back!

The Tinned Fish Market (UK 🇬🇧) has resumed shipping to the US! (They had suspended shipping temporarily because of tariffs.) They offer tinned fish from highly regarded European canneries. 💜🐟
