Mushroom growing - speaker series at Glen Helen July 7th

Speaker Series: Growing Mushrooms
Tues, July 7
7-8:30pm

Wine Cap mushrooms grow readily in various types of mulch and produce substantial crops of edible mushrooms for home consumption or sale. In this class, with Marc Amante from Central State University Extension, we will learn about how to cultivate, identify, and harvest Wine Cap mushrooms in your home garden or as a part of your farm business.

Come ready to get your hands a little dirty, as we'll demonstrate the hands-on processes for how to build a mulched bed Wine Cap production system.
Registration Required. Program: $5. Parking $10, Free for members. Vernet Ecological Building, 405 Corry St.

Lily is having a tantrum because Spike won’t play.

Spike hasn’t adjusted even after a year to being the “big” brother after 5 years of being the baby of 5 dogs.

He doesn’t get he was the exact same way a year ago 🤣

Dog Owners- Im looking for a PEMF Bed. (TPLO/CCL injuries)

Our senior dog has a CCL tear and the vets arent thrilled with the idea of her having surgery at her age (13). They have highly suggested rehab, and cold laser therapy, as well as PEMF bed/ring.

These are QUITE expensive, and I want to get it for her, but if i can find a one, that is no longer needed, i'd be quite thrilled by that.

If your pup has gone through this and is no longer using their bed, i would be interested in it!

Queen Beatrice deserves to live out her days with as much pain managment as we can provide.

Burger King on Indian Ripple - slated to be demod this week to make way for McDonalds

I worked at this Burger King all through my teen years, I had birthday parties with my friends there as a kid. My sister and I used to ride our bikes up there across Indian ripple to get a cheeseburger during the summer.

As kids- I remember my dad telling us McDonalds wanted to build there but the cut wouldn’t let them because one fast food chain was enough or some silliness..

Well McDonalds finally got thier wish.

The fencing went up around the building today according to my dad…

And while this article is dated- ive read elsewhere but can’t confirm - council has approved the new build

Straight line storms tonight?

I’ve seen a few Facebook weather dudes (🙄) talking about potential high convection line of storms coming through tonight from the HRRR model…

Any thoughts?

Greene County - Mulch Delivery- Who do you order from?

I know we can go get mulch from the city (county?) and I'd love to do it, but i just dont have the time to do it right now. I'd love to have a delivery of mulch/compost/topsoil - that also doesnt suck and have loads of crap in that doesnt belong.. (metal remanents, trash, weed barrier ect)

Do I need a permit for solar panel if it’s for a battery backup system- not attatched to household wiring (say using only as power needed for a she-shed)?

I want to convert a shed to a she-shed/office/recording space and don’t want to do a whole hard wiring system.

I’m looking at an EcoFlow system with solar charging, that comes with two panels. Do I need a permit to put this on shed roof since it’s not an ADU and is under the 200sqft?
This is only going to power a laptop and maybe a couple other light electronic.

Friend bought her first house and she’s very excited to go no lawn and have a big native garden/vegetable gardens on her whole property.

Does Dayton make life miserable for people like us? Will she constantly be harnessed for having a “weedy” yard when it’s all native perennials and vegetable gardens?

Looking for a GREAT periodontist who has good office etiquette along with good periodontal reputation. We moved here two years ago but this has been a hard relocation as far is switching out this doctoring because of extensive work/history with our last doc in columbus.

Unfortunately the drive has just become a large pain and the office has gone downhill..

Could use some persons experiences for anyone who’s had gum grafts done, and happy with thier doc.
