Every former WWE World Champion who would later win the Intercontinental Title

Although the Intercontinental Championship was usually treated as a stepping stone for an up and coming wrestler before a World Title run, a number of former World Champions would still capture the IC Title after their reigns with the top belt.

19 different IC Champs were able to win the belt after already being a World Champion with a few of them achieving this feat more than once.

Every former WWE World Champion who would later win the US Title

For a belt that is sometimes considered the least prestigious among WWE's main roster male singles titles, there have been numerous occasions in in its history where the US Title was captured by a former World Champion.

In a number of these instances, the belt itself often found itself shot up to the main event and at times was even treated as the show's top title.

Honorbale mentions

  • Booker T: Made his WWF debut as both the WCW World and US Champions. Would later win the WWE version of the US Title in 2004
  • Kurt Angle: Won the WCW US Title in 2001 on WWF TV after having had reigns with the WWF Title earlier

Hot take: Wrestling is among the few industries where being a nepo baby is not always advantageous. It may be easier to get into the door but staying there seems to be an even bigger challenge. If it was all about who you know, these guys would've been instant main eventers

[Interesting Trope] Where two or more seemingly standalone series/movies unexpectedly take place in the same universe

  1. The "Shamalan-verse" that connected the universes of Unbreakable and Split was not something initially promoted to audiences. The reveal that the two movies shared a universe happened only in the ending of Split and culminated in the film Glass

  2. The ending of the 80s series Newhart revealed that the entire events of the series were actually dream experienced by the protagonist of another series, The Bob Newhart Show. Although both shows were created by and starred the aforementioned Bob Newhart, they were, up to that point completely separate from one another.

  3. In the Star Wars universe, the race of aliens from the movie ET are an actual species called the Asogians. This inclusion is a response to a throwaway gag in the original ET film where the titular alien sees a child in a Yoda hallowween costume and appears to recognise it.

  4. The Spy Kids series exists in the same universe as the Machete series with the protagonist latter being portrayed as an uncle to the heroes in the former. Despite Spy Kids being a franchise targetted to children and Machete being an ultra violent adult oriented series, both were created by Robert Rodriguez.

  5. The Powerpuff Girls episode "Members Only" features the Justice Friends who appeared in Dexter's Laboratory. It should be noted however that despite this reveal, the Justice Friends were portrayed noticeably differently in PPG than how they normally appeared in Dexter's Lab.

  6. In the series finale of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, it is revealed that the show takes place in the same universe as both Diff'rent Strokes and The Jeffersons. Arnold and Philip Drummond are revealed as potential buyers of the Banks family home before it is ultimately sold to George and Louise Jefferson.

  7. In The Secret Saturdays, various Ben 10 villains were seen in cameos in a throway a scene during one of their episodes, hinting at a possible shared universe. This was later fully fleshed in the Ben 10 Omniverse episode T.G.I.S which not only features the characters interacting but the plot of which is a direct follow-up to the events of the series finale of TSS.

Who is your favourite gatekeeper wrestler? These are wrestlers who achieve significant main event level success but are still mainly used to elevate other talent. Let me know if you disagree with anyone on this list too

The long lost art of the lifelong midcarder. These weren't guys you'd expect to win a World Title or main event Mania but would nonetheless tune in to see. Not failed singles pushes or stars being groomed for bigger things but a stable, dependable mid-card that was genuinely over with the fans.

2027 WWE Hall Of Fame prediction

John Cena: Headliner

Cena would be the most obvious headliner considering that he's arguably the biggest recently retired name in wrestling today. If they can induct AJ and have him headline within months of his own retirement, it's likely no issue for Cena. Plus with it being SaudiMania, its hard to imagine him not being at the show in some capacity.

Bray Wyatt: Posthumous Inductee

The fact that this hasn't happened yet is quite surprising. I can see him either being inducted by either his family or former Wyatt Family teammates and he deserves a full fledged induction and not just a Legacy Wing mention

Victoria: Women's Inductee

Having recently signed a Legend's Contract to WWE, Victoria is arguably the biggest former WWE women's wrestler to have yet to be inducted into the HOF. Considering her current relationship with them, an induction next year would be plausible

Cyndi Lauper: Celebrity Inductee

I really am starting to feel that the only reason WWE hasn't indcuted Cyndi Lauper is likely due to some kind of scheduling conflict. She remains to this day to be one of the most instrumental outside celebrities in the lore of WWE and should have been inducted years ago for her role in bringing wrestling as we know it into the mainstream

Michael Cole

I like how in recent years, WWE has included at least one person who remains a regular fixture on TV as an inductee. Michael Cole definitely deserves it as WWE's undisputed voice and should follow in the footsteps of people like Jerry Lawler, JR and Booker T who themselves were inducted while still in regular full-time roles.

William Regal

Arguably considered one of the greatest WWE Superstars to never win a World Title and a prominent backstage influence today, Regal is more than deserving of an induction. Considering his relationship with many of WWE's higher management, I could see HHH inducting him personally

Strike Force (Tito Santana and Rick Martel): Group Inductee

One of the last Golden Era Tag Teams to not yet be inducted, both Santana and Martel are still on good terms with WWE. Santana himself would also be a double HOF inductee if this happens.

HBK vs Razor Ramon WrestleMania 10: Immortal Moments

Both a legendary WrestleMania match and a "safe" induction considering HBK is still with the company and Scott Hall has passed away.

No way in hell we'd get a 5 star wrestling classic out of this. But on spectacle alone, this would have been a very enjoyable RA WrestleMania match

Something about these WrestleMania matches give me that same strange vibe. Like why were these even happening?

Wrestlers who have won TWO different WWE World Championships within the same calendar year

CM Punk misses out on this accolade by about 5 weeks since he won the WHC in late November 2025. Other honourable mentions of people who won 2 different World Titles in less than a year (but not the same calendar year) include

  • Jeff Hardy (2008-2009)
  • Batista (2008-2009)
  • Randy Orton (2010-2011)
  • Rey Mysterio (2010-2011)
