Can the multi purpose hook attatched to the Reamer/Punch on the Spirit X even do anything?

Can the multi purpose hook attatched to the Reamer/Punch on the Spirit X even do anything?

The normal multi purpose hook on normal SAKs is their own single tool that extends out from the center in a perfect position to use as a handle.

Meanwhile the hook on the Spirit X is attatched to the reamer/punch and sticks out from one end. What could it even do?

Best all round knife for Bushcraft, cutting food & survival?

Hi, new here.
Most popular knife I heard about is the Morakniv Garberg, but also heard it isn't great for cutting food, but is it still the best all rounder knife for wood & food? There is also the TOPS BOB Fieldcraft but doesn't seem worth it for over double the price and also having Carbon Steel instead of the better Sandvik 14C28N steel of the Garberg. Anyone here use hatchets like the 300g Gränsfors Bruk Small?
Any advice appreciated.

UPDATE:
Wow, thank you everyone, didn't expect to see 40+ comments, I've read through all of them and really appreciate all the help, there are too many replies for me to reply to everyone directly.

@ShiftNStabilize has suggested the Peltonen Ranger M07 if budget isn't an issue, and I think the Ranger M07 Full Tang version in the Curly Birch wood handle looks really attractive & has a traditional appeal while still having great performance, good cutting, good for food & wood.

No doubt the classics like Mora or ESEE, etc are amazing knives but the Birch wood handle on the Ranger M07 Full Tang looks too good.

Best down quilt, mattress, pillow?

Hi, new to the outdoors.
Heard a lot about the Z Packs Solo Quilt & Enlightened Equipment Enigma Quilt.
For the mattress heard the Nemo Eclipse & Exped Ultra 6.5R is great.
Also what is the best temperature for all seasons? Heard it is 20F/-7C but here in AUS there is no snow and is usually above 32F/0C, with how inaccurate a products R rating can be, is a 30F/-1C actually good for AUS temperature ranges? What about Summer nights?
Also how necessary is a draft collar and having a zip at the foot area?

Best value thermal monoculars when comparing price to performance?

My budget is about $1500 USD but is flexible.

Here in Australia been hearing that the best price to performance value is the HIKMICRO LYNX LH25 2.0 Thermal Monocular for about $1500 USD. Also in AU one of the best sellers is the Guide TE421 but is a $1000 USD one when I'm willing to spend $1500 USD.

From the USA heard for $1500 USD the AGM Taipan V2 19-384 is the best. Here in Australia Taipan isn't available though.

In Australia the most popular ones seem to be Hikmicro & Guide, there is also a lot of Pulsar and some Nocpix. Heard a lot of people say Hikmicro is better than Pulsar.

Open to any monocular regardless of availability here, willing to order from overseas if it is really good.

Does the Peltor Comtac VIII 4 pin play the single radio audio in both ears or just 1 ear?

Hi everyone,
Do you still need a 5 pin to play the audio in both ears? Is the only difference between 4 vs 5 pin is that 4 pin is 1 radio 1 ear, 5 pin is 2 radios 2 ears? Also why is there such a big price difference for 4 vs 5 pins?
Do people usually only need a 4 pin?
Any help would be appreciated.

Best ultralight tent & backpack?

Hi everyone, new to Ultralight gear and any help would be much appreciated.

Just needed a backpack & tent suitable for long expeditions, was originally planning to get Hyperlight Mountain Gear(HMG) Crosspeak 2 tent & Unbound 55L backpack. But after hearing the decline of HMG and now subpar quality after switching from USA manufacturing to Mexico what is the best Ultralight tent & back pack? HMG is still charging huge money for subpar products. If the quality is good, price is no issue. Or is HMG simply as good as it gets?

I need a stand alone tent, that doesn't need trekking poles, for 1 person, which means 2 person sized tent. Crosspeak 2 looked perfect but only gripe is colour, prefer black/olive drab green. Also with the Unbound back pack I liked everything except no loops for trekking poles, but this is not absolutely necessary if the backpack is really good. Prefer black colour.

Searching for high quality stainless steel dinner table ware, plates & bowls

Looking for high quality Stainless Steel dinner ware that isn't made in China, preferably Japan, Europe, USA.
Don't want to risk getting fake SS that is full of heavy metals.

For table ware, plates & bowls is 18/8 SS the same as 18/10 SS? Would it last a life time of daily use?

Why is it so hard to find good SS plates? By chance I stumbled across this Japanese brand "Sori Yanagi" that has the only SS plates I've seen that look good. But all Sori Yanagi is18/8 SS not 18/10 SS but not sure if it matters or not for dinner ware.

Panasonic Chinese NCR18650GA vs Panasonic Japanese NCR18650B?

Hi, new to 18650 batteries here.

NCR18650GA vs NCR18650B, is there much difference in performance for usage in a Zebralight H600D headtorch? I know the NCR18650GA has slightly better specs but right now my issue is that I can only source NCR18650B made in Japan from a reliable company. For the NCR18650GA I can only source the green ones made in China, unable to get Japanese reds from a reliable & trustworthy company, the reds available here are probably counterfeits and the company refused to respond to my email enquiries.

Would appreciate any advice on which ones are better.

Panasonic/Sanyo NCR18650GA 3.6V 3500mAh (flat top) Red vs Green?

Hi everyone, need some help, both have the exact same specs & model number. A company claims that the red one is manufactured in Japan, while the green clearly says on it that it is made in China. Red seems less legit without all the text on it though, or maybe the text just isn't captured in the pic.

Would appreciate any help from anyone who can explain the differences.

There is also a brand called Nexcell that makes a 18650 battery, model S4737A, if anyone knows how it compares to Panasonic/Sanyo would appreciate any input, but I doubt it would be better than Panasonic/Sanyo & I've used Panasonic/Sanyo for over a decade without issue.
