Which title sounds the most romantic? (Please correct my grammar if incorrect.)

¡Hola, amigos! ¡Necesito urgentemente ayuda con una traducción!

So...I am writing a romantic story, and I don't know which title evokes the softest and sweetest sort of essence to it! The idea is that these characters are in a setting akin to a "telenovela," and I wanted to have a title that's messy, dramatic, and romantic. Spanish is the third language I am learning, and let's say this short story will help me get through three courses of Spanish!

In English, it would be "Defiances of the Heart."

  1. Desafíos del corazón...

  2. Rebeldes del corazón...

If that sounds awkward in Spanish...Would "If My Heart Allows It" be better?

Is it "Si el corazón me lo permite" or "Si el corazón lo permite?"

I'm debating between the two titles. Feel free to break down why one title or the other sounds better in Spanish!

¡Muchísimas gracias por tu ayuda!

Would you like it if IchiRuki fanfiction was published in your native language?

I was reading an IchiRuki story in Russian, and then I learned it's the Russian translation of an English story! I have my browser set to automatically translate things if possible and so, the difference between the actual English story versus the Russian to English translation was interesting to see!

English is not my first language but I am a native speaker if this makes sense! I am fluent in the language and I have a literature degree soon enough. Still, I'm sure there are others who'd love to read IchiRuki stories in their preferred language.

If I'm desperate, I will consume Spanish language IchiRuki content and I've done that before! I'm more likely to find Spanish translations of IchiRuki stuff than I am in English...

Which sounds more fitting for the title of a romance novel?

I am working on a romance novel. It'll be in English for the time being, but I still want to design covers in different languages for when I can find proper translations of the story...

We have the original English title of "It's Raining Cats and Dukes!" but after asking a Lithuanian friend for a Lithuanian translation of the name, we had to settle for “All It Takes Is a Rainy Day!" as the Lithuanian title, as dukes in Lithuania vs Portugal are vastly different!

For the original English title...

Would it be...

“Estão a chover gatos e duques!"

or

"Está a chover gatos e duques!"

As for the second title, which might be the standard so that all of the languages I am designing covers for would be "uniform," we have...

"Basta um dia de chuva!"

Now...Which title sounds more cutesy and rom-com-like? This story is about rainy days, nobility, and all that fun jazzy stuff, so I will take everyone's input seriously!

Also, does the title change in Brazilian versus European Portuguese? Please, let me know! I'd prefer the European Portuguese translation, but there might be more willing Brazilian readers!

Muito obrigado, meus amigos!

Most romantic love poem you know?

I'd love to discover romantic love poems in European Portuguese, Brazilian Portuguese, and other dialects of Portuguese, too! You can learn a lot about a language based on how they write love poems!

It's okay if there are no official translations for the poem; I will use translation tools online if I must! I just want to write a little short story inspired by the poems I've picked up to be my favorites!

Muito obrigado, meus amigos!

A Head of Hair With Another Apperance Would Be Just as Beautiful and Loved. (A Fanfiction Story Written by Me and Posted on AO3!)

^(Summary: For as long as she could remember, Rukia's dark hair had always been kept short. However, over the years, she has become insecure about it and wonders if it bothers her new husband, Ichigo Kurosaki. Fortunately, Ichigo has nothing but kind things to say about her hair, for her hair is merely an extension of herself. Still, her hair is worth loving as it is, too.)

^(Author's Note: Hair is just hair until it isn't. However, others will be able to see the beauty you have been blinded to until you are finally brought to the light and can see it yourself.)

.

.

.

For as long as she could remember, Rukia Kuchiki, now Rukia Kurosaki, always kept her hair short, and the simplicity of her haircut was more than satisfactory for her.

Still, she sometimes wondered if it would be better to grow out her hair, keep it as long as it possibly could be, like other women her age in her life, such as Orihime Inoue, whose chestnut-colored hair was long, straight, and adorned with her signature blue snowflake-shaped hairpins.

Rukia's hair was always well-kept, combed, and silky with minimal frizz to it. One could run their fingers through her hair with no problems whatsoever, for she rarely had knots and tangles.

Still, she sometimes wondered if it was enough for Ichigo Kurosaki, for he was her husband.

While she liked to call herself a modern woman, old habits died hard, and ever since she was young, she had been told by elderly women not to let anyone and everyone to touch your hair.

Only those who were worthy could touch your hair, for one's hair was an extension of themselves, as the elderly women informed her.

Rukia took their words to heart, literally.

Prior to Ichigo, the only men who ever touched her hair were her childhood best friend, Renji Abarai, and her adoptive older brother, Byakuya Kuchiki.

Renji pulled on her hair when she was a mere girl, and he was a mere boy living in poverty.

Renji was always rough with his hair pulling, but he would apologize afterwards, saying she was the only girl he'd ever do that to, and he only ever did it in teasing jest, for he enjoyed annoying her to no end.

Byakuya, on the other hand, would tap her hair a few times.

He's never once considered ruffling her hair, only tapping her hair when he wanted to be affectionate in his silent, stoic way, for it was his way of telling her that he was pleased and or proud of her.

Ichigo was not like Renji and Byakuya, for he would ruffle her hair, messing it up as much as he possibly could, and then gently run his fingers through her hair, occasionally moving his fingers in circular motions to massage her scalp.

Rukia was not a doll, and she'd never dare to see herself akin to one, yet whenever Ichigo touched her, he made her feel like she was one, like she was his very own personal fashion doll whose hair was his to do as he pleased.

⏔⏔⏔ ꒰ ᧔ෆ᧓ ꒱ ⏔⏔⏔⊹₊˚‧︵‿₊୨ᰔ୧₊‿︵‧˚₊⊹────୨ৎ────

It was the morning after their wedding night.

Ichigo was kind, understanding that she was a virgin like him, inexperienced in everything regarding physical intimacy between a man and a woman.

Never once did he pressure her into doing anything she didn't want to do.

However, he would touch her hair.

His loving touches were always gentle.

Still, she wondered if he would be upset and disappointed with her, for she was not the sort of wife who was so sure of what she wanted and could give to her husband.

It was while they ate their breakfast that she asked him, "Does it bother you?"

His eyes have never once kept away from staring at her when he asked with a question of his own, "Does what bother me?"

Pulling on her own hair, she clarified, "My hair...It's not as long as Orihime's is...I know that long hair is the height of peak femininity, but I have always done my best to be feminine elsewhere. Long hair is expensive to maintain, and it's not practical either...I was born into and grew up in extreme poverty before being adopted into the Kuchiki family. My hair's always been short because it was just better that way."

Ichigo frowned. "Are you asking me if I am bothered by your hair for being short?"

Rukia nodded her head in answer. "Yes."

He began, his voice and eyes softening, "Rukia, your hair may be an extension of yourself, but why should I care about it?" Pulling on his own hair, he added, "Look at me and my naturally carrot-orange-colored hair? I've been bullied for it all of my life, but I don't let others get the best of me because it's Mama's hair. I love Mama as she is. My hair color and texture were a gift she gave to me and me alone. Yuzu and Karin don't have Mama's hair at all, and that's perfectly fine, too, for genetics is a fickle thing. Anyway, Mama loves you as you are, and so do I. For all that I care, you could have no hair or have porcupine spikes for hair...You could even have horns or wings attached to your head, and that would not make you love you less. Hair is just hair. It usually grows back. If not, whatever, it is what is inside your head that matters most for you were foolish enough to have fallen in love with me, returning my feelings, and even going so far as to spend the rest of your life with me...I still can't believe we're husband and wife now!"

Her bright, amethyst-purple-colored eyes glistened as she whispered softly, "Do you truly mean what you say?"

"I mean every say single word." He got up from his chair and walked over to her so that he could wipe her unfallen tears away with his thumbs.

Once her eyes dried up, he ran his fingers through her dark hair, which was as black as the night sky they fell asleep under together for the very first time last night.

His strokes were slow but sure of what they were doing.

He then proceeded to bend down and plant a quick, chaste kiss on her bangs, the top of her head, and the back of her head.

His lips touched the short locks of oiled hair that smelled like a magical fairy garden of flowers, for she always opted to use organic, botanical products on her hair.

"You always smell like a magical fairy garden of flowers," he stated.

"Do I?"

"You do."

"Thank you," Rukia said, glancing up to grin at her husband.

Ichigo could only grin back at his wife in return. "Of course."

They had yet to have their first kiss on the lips, but still, Rukia wanted to do something to show her appreciation for her husband.

"Sit down," she commanded.

"Your wish is my command, Wifey," he said, smirking at her.

She waited until he was fully seated on his chair before she walked over to him and then proceeded to comb his bangs up so that his forehead was exposed.

With a fistful of hair in one hand, she used the other to hold onto his shoulder for stability, for she was quite certain she would stumble otherwise.

Finally, she leaned forward and kissed his forehead.

The kiss was long, and her soft lips must have remained on his forehead for a few minutes before she attempted to pull herself apart from him.

She was unable to be separated from him because he had his arms around her waist and brought her over to his lap, where she sat on top of him.

He rested his chin on her shoulders, chuckling at the tickling he received from her hair petting his skin.

"See, your hair is perfect as it is. There's not a single strand of it that I'd like to rearrange," he stated.

"I guess you're right," Rukia said, giggling when he shook his head so that his spiky hair could tickle against her slender neck.

Ever since that moment, Rukia has never once felt insecure about her hair.

Why would she, when she was the only one with hair like hers, for she and Ichigo had children that were born with only the brightest and orangest and spikiest of hair known in the world, and all of their children simply loved their mother, whose silky black hair was carefully arranged to be short but elegant?

The End.

 .

.

.

^(Author's Note: I will admit that I am biased to long hair, but there was once a time when my silky black hair was as straight and short as Rukia's was. As someone with long hair that's reached past their knees, short hair is something special in its own kind.)

^(I have always found Rukia to be the picture-perfect poster person of refined elegance, with her hair that has been intentionally arranged as it is. Even shorter hair and long hair suits her, of course, but I am partial to her inital hair style.)

^(That was what drew sixteen-year-old me into getting into the Bleach fandom.)

I love IchiRuki as much as the next person does, but I'm hungry for more media with IchiRuki-adjacent couples...Let's share them out!

Here are some couples that I think agree well with IchiRuki fans.

  1. NaruSaku from Narutoay
  2. Elizabeth/Fitzwilliam from Pride and Prejudice
  3. Anthony/Kate from Bridgerton
  4. Kyoujurou/Shinobu from Demon Slayer
  5. Erza/Gray from Fairy Tail

▲ 4 r/Soap

What's the most you have spent on soap at once?

I've spent $61.05 on five bars of Hawaiian jasmine soap because Jasminum Sambac is the best-smelling jasmine ever, and a lot of soaps have the fragrance of Jasminum Grandiflorum. Of course, there are more types of jasmine flowers with their own unique scent, but I am a sucker for a dirty, indolic jasmine, for I am South Asian, and it's hard to find a true Jasminum Sambac, but I found just that! I love smelling like the motherlands, though, so the purchase was justified if you ask me! I can finish through a bar in a month, so I want to stock up!

Sugary Saturday: Comment your pairings if you'd like a wedded dosmetic bliss headcanon for them!

F/F, F/M, and M/M are fine. Multiples of the same pairings are fine, since chances are someone else likes the same pairings as you do!

What I won't do are OT3s/any group romances, so, no harems/reverse harems. If you are into harem/poly and are trying to list them off as separate, I will not take your request.

Let's be kind, okay? I will block people if necessary!

I am NSFW-free! I only do SFW content!

Have a wonderful sugary Saturday, friends!

Best love songs from Portugal and Brazil respectively?

I am going to work on a romance novel where the characters speak Portuguese. The female lead is of Portuguese nationality, and the male lead is of Brazilian nationality. They are of my ethnicity, though. Anyway, there's a big deal about how they're both Portuguese speakers, but they clash in dialects, and their mother tongue is the same, and they have to use that to communicate instead of English or Portuguese. Are there any good songs for both dialects?

Since the woman is Portuguese, I'd love songs with a female POV, but I'd love male POV songs, too, because we can imagine the man thinking of her dialect as he misses her.

Since the man is Brazilian, I'd love songs with a male POV, but female POV songs are acceptable, too!

If anyone speaks Greek, that'd be great, for they met in Greece!

When sharing the songs, can you inform me if they're European Portuguese or Brazilian Portuguese? I used the European Portuguese tags because most songs that are translated into English are Brazilian Portuguese, and I WANT more European Portuguese.

Muito obrigado, meus amigos!

How Do You Imagine Them at Their Wedding?

I don't know if this makes sense, but despite growing up in the US, I never imagined my OTPs getting married in a Western-style wedding attire with white wedding dresses and black suits. I know practcially everyone in BNHA is a Japanese citizen, but I don't fantasize them in matriominal kimono, either! That's not to say they can't be drawn or written or thought about in these clothes, but I've always imagined my OTPs getting married in the way my ethnicity does it!

I would go on Pinterest and make a board dedicated to the sorts of outfits they'd wear for their pre-wedding, wedding, and post-wedding events, and I'd curate wedding playlists for them, too!

How does everyone else envision their OTPs when it's time for their big day to happen? Please, be as detailed as you'd like! Let's be nice here and keep it SFW...Thank you!
