Atheist friends

I've been feeling really lonely and lost this year especially after leaving islam

Wherever i look i find people that i can't share my full self with without risking my safety so i was hoping to find friends online to have discussions about religion, atheism, science and philosophy

Scholarships for physics or astrophysics for undergraduates

I just graduated high school but i can't study what i want in my country since astrophysics is only offered as a masters degree and the only way to study physics in undergrad is through a joint root with chemistry and it's not that great so studying Abroad is the only option

I'm looking for scholarships that are fully or partially funded for physics or astrophysics any help or advice will be appreciated

I want to study abroad with a scholarship

I just graduated high school and i'm looking to get a scholarship, when i looked i found that i have some promising options even tho i didn't graduate with a high grade so i'm kinda scared i won't get accepted so i've decided to study one or a few years in my country and get good grades in university so i can apply with them to universities abroad and also during that time i want to get enough money so my visa can be approved

Any suggestions on what jobs i can get and what additions i can add to my plan to make it more realistic

I just got accepted into a physics major

I'm 18 yo and just got accepted into a physics major or so i thought

Well for context in my country majoring in physics is pretty rare and looked down upon, there is only one major that allows you to study theoretical physics and it is called science of the materials "sm"(weird name ik) and it is basically a joint major between chemistry and physics for the first year then you choose to major in one of them in the second year

Most People choose to major in chemistry that was the case with most people ik and talked to that's why the spots for chemistry are so competitive unlike physics

So when i got the majors that i was able to apply to i found a major that's just called physics in a well known university in my country so i was kinda surprised because as i said we don't have a straight up physics degree here you have to go down the root of" sm " so i obviously chose it

When the results came back the name of the major was exactly like this "physics - quantum computing and quantum technology" well first i didn't know that you can study something like that in undergrad second my goal is to study astrophysicist so i'm kinda confused now what should i do and is it possible for me to major in astrophysics later on plus i think this major will be cool and i don't want to change it especially the only other option being "sm" which is kinda mid honestly and i hate that i will have to study chemistry to pass

PS: this major is an integrated master's so we probably won't go into deep stuff of quantum mechanics until masters plus this major is the first of its kind here and only exists in this college in here

Not so sure where i will go now

Being born in a conservative islamic nation meant that i was indoctrinated since a young age

Islam wasn't a big part of my life as a child besides the occasional stories from the Qur'an and learning how to pray , however by the time i was in middle school i had gotten too deep in the doctrine that i had a religious psychosis where i almost wore the hijab but i didn't

I always had my doubts though, since i was fascinated with science, i tried to connect islam and science but it didn't work out so i divide my brain into two segments one that worked with science and logic the other with faith

I buried all my doubts and the contradictions i found in islam deep in my head , i avoided them cuz they were too hard to think about

Fast forward to high school, i watched a video on YouTube about the history of slavery i could say that this video was the moment it all collapsed

I won't go into details of how i went from being extra religious into an atheist because it's too long and it took years i might talk about it another time but for now i'm struggling with my mental health and having a fucked up family isn't helping me at all i'm afraid of them so much plus i'm scared of the future and where it might lead me i'm only eighteen and not sure what to do
