Baby skunk

A married couple are driving along when they see a baby skunk on the side of the road. They immediately stop, the woman gets out, picks it up, and brings it into the car.

"Aw, look, it's shivering, it must be cold. What should I do?" she says.

Him: "Just put it between your legs."

Her: "What about the smell?"

Him: "Just hold its little nose."

Happy Father's Day!

It was a great two days of swinging the stick at a local park I haven't been to. All clad and cheap jewelry but I did find a 1952 wheatie and a 1964 Lincoln in the best shape of any 60+ year old penny I've ever dug up. Happy Father's Day from Southern Oregon!

My first gold!

After 14 years of metal detecting off and on, I finally found my first gold after poking around at a school pkayground! A small 10k Black Hills gold girl's ring. It registered a loud and solid 24 on my newer Manticore. The adrenaline was definitely flowing after digging it up. I also found a corroded 1937 wheatie, some cheap jewelry, and lots of clad, including a Sacagawea dollar and a car wash token. Overall, a great day of detecting! Happy hunting out there from Southern Oregon

Turfbuilder + Rain = 😁 Lawn

I spread some Scott's Turfbuilder prior to two weeks of on and off rain and it helped make my front and back yard thicker and greener in preparation for 85-90° temps for the next week or so. Raised the lawnmower blade an inch for the summer heat and plan to water a little more as well. Just wanted to share from Southern Oregon!

Behold the 3lb gigantiburger griddled on my Blackstone for quick and easy burgers for the week!

I'm lazy and didn't want to make a gazillion burgers and flip them all on the Blackstone, so I made one gigantiburger and cut into squares which fit perfectly on sliced bread. It took half the time. Work smarter, not harder! Happy griddling 😎

I'm happy to share after 14-plus years of metal detecting I finally found my first mercury dime this past Saturday. It was in great shape too, located in the middle of a school playground, about six inches underground, with my new Manticore and new 8-inch coil. I also found a beautiful silver ring with what I think is a topaz stone. Living in a rural area in the Pacific Northwest makes locating old coins a little more challenging but perseverance paid off. Happy hunting out there.

I spent four hours at a school playground and couldn't believe how active it was. I literally couldn't walk more than a few feet at a time without hitting a coin or other. I recently purchased a smaller 8-inch coil for my Manticore that really centered on coins quickly and made pinpointing them fast and easy. I found a few wheat pennies a good 7-8 inches underground and a nickel a good five inches under a tree root. The jewelry is cheap but I just enjoyed the thrill of a great day of detecting. Happy hunting out there!
