Welcome to the next edition of our series Meet Blythe. The focus of this series is to highlight one special girl per post from the over 300 official stock releases throughout the years. We want you to meet Blue Rabbit!

Blue Rabbit was the second Blythe produced by the Good Smile company, she features their proprietary RBL Evolution mold. Her release date was July 29, 2022, she retailed for 20,350 JPY. Her lore from CWC reads:

>I went for a walk in the meadow and met a cute rabbit.
There were clovers and lily of the valley, and butterflies were dancing in the meadow.
The rabbit hopping happily around the meadow was a blue rabbit!
I thought this wonderful encounter was a gift from nature.

Good Smile Company was met with a lot of skepticism by the established community, change can be hard. As such, many of these 2022 GSC releases lingered on for months and could be found on places like Amazon for a discount. This group of girls included Song of London Mary, Blue Rabbit, Float Away Dream, Juno Estella, and Suri Sustainable. Only one girl in 2022 sold out within a month of her release: Lovely Katherine's Corner... not a single 2022 release sold out in her pre-sale period, that wouldn't happen for GSC until Angelica Nurse of Compassion in September of 2023.

Blue Rabbit has one pair of special eyechips: Light Brown. Her default chips are in non-standard positions with the blue and green swapped: blue (left), green (right) and pink. She has a soft pink manicure and is very blushy.

Welcome to the next edition of our series Meet Blythe. The focus of this series is to highlight one special girl per post from the over 300 official stock releases throughout the years. We want you to meet Bling Bling Party Fur!

Bling Bling Party Fur was released on January 23rd of 2015. She features the RBL+ mold and is notable because of her polypropylene hair. As with another release confirmed to feature this controversial hair material, Jane LeFroy, the decision seems to be baked into her design: The hair is meant to be poofy and untamed.

Now, CWC does not make it a habit to tell us what material is used for their hair, rather like their practice of keeping secret inspirations (hello, Michael Jackson tribute Allie Gabrielle), the information typically comes out once the collector's guides are updated and the doll is in the hands of collectors. Within the community, Bling Bling Party Fur's hair is better tolerated than poor Jane LeFroy's, but they look very similar texture-wise out of the box.

Bling Bling Party Fur has one pair of special eyechips, the front facing gray. She also features the default blue (right), green (left), and pink. She has pierced ears. Her original retail price was 13,800 JPY. At the time of writing this article, she is for sale NRFB from CC Toys at a price-point of $350 USD.

She's versatile, she can do bright colors as well as subdued palettes

Welcome to the next edition of our series Meet Blythe. The focus of this series is to highlight one special girl per post from the over 300 official stock releases throughout the years. We want you to meet Frosty Frock!

Frosty Frock was released in November of 2008 as a Toys R Us Exclusive. She was a thrifty 10,290 JPY at release. Some of her lore has been lost to time (or at least from what I was able to find....) She was the subject of a Holiday photo contest and the photo entries were posted online by CWC at the time, but alas... I could not find them.

However, we can look to the trusty Blythe Collector's Guide for more information about Frosty and it's interesting stuff.... Apparently she is supposed to look like one of Santa's helper elves and the reason why her dress is something of a blank canvas is because the contest was actually around decorating her outfit with ornaments or appliques. She frequently appeared in holiday marketing materials.

Frosty Frock features the default eyechips in the default positions (say it with me): Blue (right), Green (left), orange, and pink. She is a Superior Blythe or SBL. She has cute light yellow hair in a side part with no bangs/fringe that has been cut shorter than the standard bob and is permed. She's like a beautiful lemon meringue, what a star!
