Glide rod collection

Over the past 2 seasons I've started fishing glide baits alot and they've become my favorite lure for both bass and also pike. Recently completed what I think is an amazing 1-2-3 punch for glides from 1oz all the way to 6oz. Also have been 100% Converted to a die hard JDM guy over the last few seasons so my entire rod lineup is now all Megabass and my tackle collection is pretty much all JDM. Coming from more of a fly fishing than conventional bass background I really appreciate the passion these brands have, getting a new glide is a lot like having custom flies or tying your own, you can really see and feel the hundreds of hours of work put into perfecting the swim and making an actual fishable art piece!

I know these rods aren't exactly handmade in the same way and neither are most of the baits out there, but at some point along the way it was just one guy hand carving a mold or thinking up a new carbon layup. Feels good to support passionate anglers pushing innovation in this sometimes pretty lame industry.

-OROCHI X10 DESTRUCTION 66 // DAIWA ZILLION HD

-DESTROYER P5 MARK 56 // SHIMANO CURADO 200 DC

-COOKAI 710EXHC // DAIWA TATULA 200

K9 setup acquired ✅

After picking up a TK earlier this summer I had to go for the big brother, my Mark 56 can handle the K9 but just barely, so good time to grab a bit more beefy setup. Within 5 min of tying it on this unit decided to play, terrifying classic pike eat at the bank.

Nothing like a new Megabass rod day!

Picked up an Orochi X10 Destruction 66. 6'6" heavy 0.5 to 2.5oz. Paired with a Zillion HD. Super light and compact yet super powerful. Gonna be my close range glide/wake/crawler/frog rig.

Favorite odd ball lure category?

Recently been getting into sinking pencil baits, picked up some of the BayRuf Seek Underwalker from Duo. Great alternative to the Karashi 80 and is a touch more versatile with the options to straight retrieve with a mini S motion. Throwing it on my topwaters setup: Megabass VKC-68M // Shimano SLX DC XT 70.

What other lure categories do you think are unknown sleepers?

Nothing like Lake Superior Spring Pike

out of all the pike fishery's big cold pre spawn mamas out of the big lake always look the best.
