Did I get two different species or is this natural color variation?

Just released 2 of 3 into my cycled paludarium. Closer look at #3 appears to have a little different coloration do I want to confirm before I put it in (want to avoid mixing species).

Just purchased at a show, seller was clueless so no help there.

Best fit so far

I have really small nail beds and struggle to find nails that fit. I also can't handle longer nails, I'm finding "short" is often too long for me (e.g. Olive & June). I tried retail brand: kiss, petite French and it's the best fit ever! Tried curvlife glue for the first time too. Would love recommendations from others that love this set on similar fitting brands. So bummed kiss petite doesn't come in more options.

First Build!

Wanted to share my first build! Now cycling, waiting for moss to fill in and isopod/springtail colonies to establish. I'm planning to get vampire crabs in a couple of months.

I hate paperwork

I just need to yell into the void. Everything requires forms. SO. MANY. FORMS. We use an iPad with touch chat and the iPad is a little glitchy in old age so we were going to replace it. Get convinced by SLP to go through insurance. They will cover it but our out of pocket would be over $1500. Y'all, I can buy a brand new iPad for $350.

But don't worry, you can fill out (more) forms to ask for a grant to cover the $1500. And wait months....and maybe not have it covered.

I should have just bought a new iPad months ago and skipped this whole stupid process.

I'm tired of the admin required for every fucking thing.

End rant. Thanks for reading.

Has anyone used coconut coir pots or coir liners in thier build?

I'm working on my first build and want to attach pots to my cork background. I was originally planning to use plastic nursery pots but then I saw coconut coir pots. I'm trying to limit unnatural materials (e.g. no expanding foam) in this build. Has anyone used these in a build before? If so, any issues with them falling apart or being difficult to work with?

I'm planning my first paludarium and wanted to know if experienced crab keepers had a preference for front opening paludarium tanks or simple aquarium tanks that are accessed from the top?

If you have a favorite or preferred brand/tank, I'd love to hear what it is.
