Go check out Sky's tea shop, Wendigo Tea in Cincinnati!
He's extremely knowledgeable about teas and carries super rare ones for tea nerds like him! He also recently added a new location in Findlay Market which is awesome =)

I know not really pop punk, but same scene, and they're on tour with simple plan right now. I just saw them in Cincinnati and loved the guitarist's energy but didn't catch his name, I think it was Jacob something?? Anyone know?
Starting the day after riot fest! Sheesh
Can we say Foxy has opened for GWAR now? hahah. If you're going be warned (or excited), Callous Daoboys and deathbyromy are both pretty heavy
The commentbox thing doesn't seem to work :/ It's nothing serious but i've been noticing a couple errors in the webseries captions + in the differences list between the web and dvd versions. e.g. in webseries ep 6 the b-day the differences list says Jay says "I- I don’t think you’re (worth??) having a g-friend…" in the web version but it definitely sounds like he's saying "I didn't- I didn't think you were into having a g-friend"
It's folded kinda weird lol. Gonna frame this asap!!! 🤩 it was my first gnr show and what a dream
I'm going to see Guns N' Roses on Wednesday at the amphitheater in tinley park IL. I have a pit ticket and want to get the best spot possible (never seen GNR before and I'm very excited), and I'm used to waiting in line allll day for fests/other concerts.
However, the parking lot at Tinley only opens at 3:30pm, so is it even possible to line up before then? I know the amphitheater is kinda in the middle of nowhere. I've only gone there before with a seated ticket so I really don't know. Has anyone queued all day for a show at Tinley before and do you have any advice?
Look Afraid also features members of Cadaver Dogs, the Skulx, Cool Life, Sofapunch, etc etc blah blah blah. Great band! This interview isn't currently available on the internet anywhere so thought it'd be neat to post. It's from the Miami Quarterly, the newspaper at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio
This is what I do for fun...
Scroll through, pick a random video, have fun :p
*okay, it's probably not actually all of them, but I'd estimate it's at least 90% of the vids existing on youtube. If there's one I'm missing please let me know. Further disclaimer that I haven't watched all of these (yet) haha
If I'm missing one let me know. Noticed there were a lottt out there with only a couple hundred views so wanted to try to rescue them from obscurity haha. Disclaimer I haven't watched all of these yet
Almost forgot about this one...
Today I went to a magic show (Hand & the Eye in Chicago) that put stickers over our phone cameras before entering since we weren't supposed to take pics or videos while inside. I was wondering, why don't venues just do that instead of locking phones in the yondr pouches? Seems like it would remove a lot of complaints since it still allows people to use their phones to text, check the time, order an Uber, etc, just not take videos. Is it just because stickers are removable and the only way to be *absolutely sure* people can't video is to physically take their phone away?
August 20th, 2004 at Southgate House in Newport, KY for a Bands Against Bush benefit show. Thanks to Tyler Hogle for sharing these. Lineup at the time (correct me if I'm wrong): Eric Nally (vocals), Sky White (keys), Loren Turner (guitar), Skylyn Ohlenkamp (bass), John Sims (drums)
Didn't get a pic but was going down 290 and saw a billboard proclaiming Alanis Morrisette Riot Fest Sept. 20, so I guess that's about as official as you can get
Hey! I'm on the hunt for any CDs or tshirts, buttons, any other merch/keepsakes/etc from these bands. I know not all of them are Cincy, but most of them are, or at least close by (e.g. Oxford for a few)
I know it's a long list but any help or leads are greatly appreciated! I'd pay for the stuff obviously, just let me know what price you were thinking. I don't actually live here haha (northern IL) but I'm willing to pay for shipping. I should be in cincy a few weekends in the fall though so I will check out record stores/thrift shops/etc then
Trying to go through and organize all my picks from several years of going to shows. I saw MCS twice recently, once last September at the really tiny Chicago show, and once in February in Milwaukee. I'm pretty sure the second pick is from that Chicago show, which Low Phase opened - anyone know if it's from LP or MCS? And the first one is obviously MCS, but does anyone know if it would've been from September or February (or is either a possibility)? Thanks!!!
I always spelled it Cincy but I've seen others using Cinci and wondered if there was an accepted "correct" way. Disclaimer: I don't live here
and Only Love was cut. I got a great video of Bye Bye that I'll put on youtube later today :) edit: here it is https://youtu.be/g8fc2rm8F-A
So fuckin good. I was next to a lot of Hail the Sun fans who had never heard of Foxy, and after Foxy's set they proclaimed it the best show they had ever seen..and I'm not exaggerating!
