I have a 2017 Subaru outback with Factory racks and went into REI today to price some racks - Thule or Yakima - and was told they don’t make them to fit my car. I can get around with these factory racks, but I would love to improve them. Anyone been in my position and modified your Factory Subaru racks?

Edit to add: I have factory crossbars that create a flush system when they are rotated/ adjusted to be flush with the sides of the car. I want a system with wider crossbars and a kayak stacker.

I have a friend – new friend – and I mentioned Alan Watts and she had never heard of him. If you were going to introduce someone to Alan Watts, how would you do that?
