Places that serve Traditional Matcha?

Looking for a place that serves traditional matcha, ideally properly whisked matcha with water, without syrups, fruit purées, strawberry foam, etc.

I want to try matcha on its own before diving into all the fun flavoured versions. Any recommendations?

Incoming student looking for 24-hour buildings and nap spots

Hey everyone! I’m an incoming grad student, and I sometimes end up studying pretty late into the night. Are there any buildings, libraries, or study spaces on campus that stay open 24 hours, or at least very late and won't kick me out?

Also, does anyone have recommendations for safe and comfortable places to take a quick nap between classes or during a long study session? Recommendations for either one or both are appreciated

Thanks lol

Can I get a york u PHYSICAL card instead of mobile?

Got an email to apply for my mobile YU card. Not a big fan of Google or Apple wallets, simply because I want to be able to use my cards whenever, even when my phone is dead.

Is this possible for new, incoming students? Did anyone do this, if so how?

Thanks

Store employee drove a motorized cart machine into my parked car. Should I contact my insurance or wait for store's claims?

I’m in Ontario and I’m looking for advice on what I should do next.

On July 4, I had finished parking at a major superstore chain, let's call it X, and was sitting stationary in my car. A X employee was using the motorized cart-pushing machine (Cart Manager) to move a long line of carts. He stopped and adjusted the carts several times, and while moving them again, two carts at the back came out of line while still connected to the machine.

The carts and machine then drove forcefully into my parked car. The impact dented and chipped the car, scratched it, and ripped/broke part of the metal, leaving what looks like a hole or tear in the body panel.

The employee’s manager came outside afterward. I completed a written incident report and took detailed photos of the damage. X also gave me a case number. They initally told me theyd also give me a written copy of the report but turned me away and told me we will call you tomorrow to see if we can give it to you or not....? I have the employee’s name, the manager’s name, the approximate time, the store location and photos documenting everything.

The employee and store told me that X claims department should pay for the damage, but they were very vague about the process and more vague about the timeline. They declined to give me any timeframe on when to expect a call from "X claims" I was told it could take several weeks before someone contacts me, and I have not yet received written confirmation that Walmart has accepted responsibility.

My questions are:

Should I notify my own insurance company immediately, even if I would prefer X to pay directly?

Can I notify my insurer without immediately opening a repair claim?

Could reporting it affect my premiums even though my car was parked and I was not responsible?

Should I get repair estimates now, or wait until X adjuster inspects the vehicle?

Should I also make a collision report, considering the damage was caused by store equipment rather than another vehicle?

Is there anything else I should request from X, such as preservation of the security-camera footage or written confirmation of the claim?

I’m mainly concerned that waiting several weeks for X could affect my insurance coverage or allow evidence such as surveillance footage to disappear. Any advice from someone familiar with Ontario insurance claims or a very major superstore chain with locations in Canada and usa claims process would be appreciated.

What’s happening in Mississauga for Canada Day this year? Paint the Town Red still a thing?

I know Celebration Square is usually the big one, but I’m wondering what else people recommend. Port Credit, Streetsville, food trucks, live music, fireworks, car shows, anything like that.

Also, does Paint the Town Red still happen on Lakeshore? I remember going years ago and there was a parade, floats, classic cars, and a bunch of stuff going on. Not sure if that’s still a thing or if it changed.

Trying to figure out what’s worth checking out.

Canada Day in Oakville - What's happening?

I know Bronte usually has the main thing, but I’m wondering if there’s anything else worth checking out around town. Any other events, live music, food, fireworks spots, car shows, floats, anything like that? Anything happening downtown?

Cheap places for men’s business clothes/suits near Oakville?

Hey everyone,

Does anyone know good places around Oakville to get cheap men’s professional clothes or suits?

I’m trying to enter the business world , starting a masters soon too, and build myself up, and I know I need to start looking the part. The problem is, I do not exactly have “up there” money yet.

I’m open to anything: thrift stores, second-hand, consignment, outlets, clearance racks, or first-hand stores that are actually affordable. Looking mainly for dress shirts, pants, blazers, shoes, and maybe a suit or two.

Anywhere around Oakville, Mississauga, Burlington, Hamilton, or Toronto works if it’s worth checking out.

And i mean affordable. I genuinely don't have a lot of money to burn to build a new wardrobe. As in under 100 is a dream, under 200 if necessary.

Appreciate any suggestions
