I was laid off today. I have 10 years of experience as a software development. As the matket is do bad right now, I want to get a job that pays fine to feed my family until I find a new job.

It is worst time to get laid off because my first daughter is coming in two weeks and my wife is on maternity leave.

I've only done server jobs before

What type of jobs would be great?

I'm trying to buy Hatch Rest 2nd Gen White Noise Machine.

Where do people buy these in Canada?

In Amazon, looks like they are selling it for $139 which is higher than retail price.

I also checked Canadian Tire, they have it for $119 but out of stock.

If you've recently bought it, where did you get it from?

I'm training jiu jitsu at Main Quest BJJ (10th planet previously). I have 7 years of BJJ experience (purple belt. mostly no-gi) and I have trained kickboxing/Muay Thai only 6 months.

now I'd like to try MMA.

I tried Alavanca SHAWNESSY. I wanted to try Elite MMA at Shepard location but they never replies. call, emails, website and also looks like they only have one bjj class per week on Monday at 5:30 AM shown in class schedules.

I prefer south side because I live in Seton.

Please give me some recommendations and if possible, your experience or reasons.

Hello friends,

My house is new and I'd like to DIY landscaping back, side and front yard. My yards are small so I think I could do DIY.

I'm going to hire a professional to do grading and then here's my DIY plan goes after grading.
Backyard will be grass and under deck area, side and front yard will be rocks. I'll put stepping stones on the side as well.

1. Road crush/base and compact. I think I'm going to rent a plate compactor
2. Weed fabric on road crush
3. River rocks on fabric
4. Top soil on backyard
5. Sod on topsoil.

Is there anything I'm missing? Also I saw lots of hate in weed fabric and rock on so many posts. What's deal with them?

Any recommendation?
