well written enemies to lovers
I know I'm not the first person to ask this but I haven't been able to find what I'm looking for so far because I'm soooooooooo picky lol
I also know that there is a major lack of Enemies to Lovers in kdramas but I'm still gonna ask because there might be some avid kdrama fans who are aware of dramas I've never heard of
(please this is a plea to all the og kdrama fans who have seen the niche stuff that doesn't get recommended often)
So yeah I'm looking for an enemies to lovers drama with good chemistry and good writing!
- enemies/rivals to lovers
- the animosity feels real and not performative
- there's chemistryyyyy
- They actually end up together
- romance doesn't have to be the main genre, they don't even have to be the main couple if the plot is good enough. I prefer a good non-romance with a small romance plot over a badly written romcom
- it could be adjacent to the concept of enemies to lovers, for example, it could be just one sided annoyance/hatred
- I need the plot to be actually good please haha
- I don't mind if it's really old and unpopular as long as it's good (I'd actually PREFER an unpopular one)
- I don't like hospital/doctor stuff but if you're still welcome to recommend one if you strongly believe it's good
- I don't like exes/second chance plotlines
shows I thought had a GOOD enemies to lovers arc
- It's Okay To Not Be Okay: I like how he absolutely could not stand her in the beginning. It's also just a really good show overall
- Mad for Each Other: they both really hated each other for a good amount of episodes. The drama is also really good and hilarious and genuinely made me laugh a lot
- Bon Appetit, Your Majesty: I really liked how they started, the chemistry in that first episode was the best
- Extraordinary Attorney Woo: there was a realllllyyyy good enemies/rivals to lovers with the two side characters here aka Kwon Min U and Choi Soo Yeon, I like how he had a really interesting redemption arc too. I know some viewers hated his character but I thought he was interesting and complex
- Head over Heels: it was for sure one sided here but I really liked how in the beginning the ML could not stand the fl at all lol, and it's a really entertaining drama too
- Call It Love: this one's a bit too melodramatic for me but I do think they executed a good E2L plot
- The Judge from Hell: just badass, really
- Filing for Love: Also one sided but both the characters were super lovable. and I hated the 2ML
dramas with "enemies to lovers" that I did NOT like:
- Sold Out on You: I found it boring and I don't like shows where a confident woman gets "humbled"
- Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha: I disliked this even more and I found both main characters obnoxious
- Her Private Life: my least favorite drama of all time. I disliked it so much that I believe I should keep those thoughts to myself..
- Touch your heart: it feels wrong to put this here because I didn't actually hate this, and I love both of the actors, but let's face it, it wasn't that good :/
dramas I've seen recommended around this subreddit that I'm not really interested in:
- Love Your Enemy: I'm actually SUPER interested in younger plotline and those actors but I heard they have a very small amount of screentime and I don't really care about the older plotline
- I love to hate you: All the clips I've seen of it seem so far from my vibe, I don't think it's bad or anything just not my type of show. it looks kinda similar to her private life and that's very off-putting to me
- Crazy Love: I swear I have nothing against Kim Jae-wook lmao I actually loved him in coffee prince but I really don't like the type of roles he's been playing lately
- Genie, make a wish: I saw some really weird stuff about this one... I really like the actors but the plot doesn't sit right with me
I might watch My Dearest Nemesis but I don't know much about the quality there, if you think it's good please tell me why, and if not, also tell me why 😂
Also My Royal Nemesis was not really enemies 2 lovers for me, but I still enjoyed it especially the male lead :)
my full watch history is right here https://mydramalist.com/dramalist/haloum please check it so you don't recommend something I've already seen, also if you want a clearer idea of my taste, it might help
thank you so much, I know I can be too specific and picky lol <3
