Is a big age gap bad

I am the youngest of 3 daughters. My oldest sister is 14 years older than me and my middle sister is 9 years older than me. We have a pretty big age gap and I don't think it's so annoying. If anything they are now working and can easily handle my expenses as I'm 16 now. They buy me good makeup, clothes and also give excellent academic advice.

I saw a video of a woman whose mom gave birth to a new kid 30 years after she was born. So she and her baby brother had a 30 year age gap and people were clowning them in the comments. I don't understand why do people hate age gaps so much? Maybe older parents want kids there's nothing wrong with that.

My parents are quite old too and they are still quite capable. This sort of ageism is very bad. Ik the baby can have health defects but trust me I've seen many old couples have healthy children. It's not an absolute rule. Although I do get sad thinking that my parents will be very old when I am like 30 years old. But they are still excellent parents. What do you think?

What is the base of a good relationship/marriage?

I come from india where arrange marriages are common. They aren't the best because many people get into them for the sake of upholding family honor and many don't divorce even if they are miserable - to protect family honor.

In contrast the rest of the world has normal love marriages where people who love eachother get married.

And I have noticed even in india, love marriages have a higher divorce rate. And marriages around the world have divorce rates through the roof (looking at you, Sweden).

It makes me wonder what is the base of a marriage which actually lasts with happiness and satisfaction?

If love is not the base and family honor is not the base, then what is?

I also know that most divorces are initiated by women because frankly women have a lot more to lose in marriages than to gain. Loss of career, beauty, body etc. Men also lose property and salary so they should be careful too. Many men are also known to be absent partners and parents which harbours resentment in wives I've seen it with my own eyes.

So I believe that the base of a happy marriage is when both parties are actively involved in every step of the marriage. From childcare to housework, buying a new house to saving for college. But that's just my opinion. What are your thoughts?

What do you think of little boys wearing frocks?

I have a nephew who really likes disney princesses. He wants to wear frocks like them. No he is definitely not gay or anything like that. He just wants to dress like Princesses. His parents don't allow him to dress up as the princesses. He has many dolls and toys in Princess themes though. Are his parents wrong for not letting him dress that way? I understand that they are protecting him. He even receives back handed comments on just playing with dolls.

Personally I feel like wearing frocks is okay for boys although there are chances they will get bullied for it. Afterall they are just children. Girls can wear pants, why do we limit boys?

Is living next to data centres really that bad?

I've seen videos on reels and yt which say that data centres have a humming sound and that the electricity and water bills are higher in the towns near which data centres are located.

And because of these reasons people are against data centres in some towns. I read about this on reddit and saw mixed opinionz where some people said that the hum exists and some said it doesn't exist.

Can everyone drop their opinions here?

Gang stop downvoting me for no reason 😭😭

I think christianity is selling tickets to heaven

Hello everyone. I am a not so religious person but I love to research about different religions and right now I'm looking into christianity. I have to say that the only part about christianity I truly appreciate is Christian missionaries. I come from india and here tribals and lower caste people were generally excluded from society. So christian missionaries converted them and provided them modern amenities in exchange. I think it's pretty cool and I appreciate it much more than bloody conquests.

That being said, I also firmly believe christianity is selling tickets to heaven. I talked to a Christian fellow a few days back and he told me that "Father the god is all loving, but he doesn't have an obligation to save everyone"

And I thought that doesn't sound loving but it makes sense nonetheless. And I asked "I have committed many sins in my life some notable ones include pre marital sex, lying to parents, stealing money, etc. ik for sure I'm not going to heaven in any universe"

Esp because my family is hindu and in Hinduism we believe in karma so I'll probably spend many years paying off my negative karma.

But this fellow said that "you don't have to pay, because Jesus paid for your sins when he died". Interesting, I asked him to continue. "Humans are sinner by default, we can't pay it all back. The holy sacrifice has already paid for all of our sins. You can. Only do one thing. That is to accept jesus Christ as your lord and savior and you'll be saved"

I thought.... That's it? I give my loyalty to god and I get saved? So I don't have to face any personal consequences? Woahh. That's when it hit me. This stuff is so easy. It's like a ticket to heaven where the price is your loyalty.

I still respect christianity a lot. Its one of my favourite religions. But the fact that it's so easy to get saved? It's too good to be true. Please be respectful guys. I am only 16.

Edit: Thank you everyone for your wonderful opinions. You all have motivated me and taught me a lot about christianity.
