To me IT is my favorite King Book and its not close.

Don't get me wrong, i love the majority of his work. But nothing comes close to the way i love IT. I've read it 40 times. Never get bored of it. King was firing on all cylinders on this one.

  1. Pennywise is an iconic villain. I'm sure the monster being what you fear most was done before, but this one has a favorite form as a clown and a personality. He can be cracking jokes one minute and be terrifying the next.

  2. The losers club - They all have distinct personalities and arcs. No one is sidelined or a plot device. They are all also so well written.

  3. The atmosphere of Derry is immaculate. It's my favorite small town of King's work.

  4. I didn't grow up in the 50's but King captures that childhood wonder so well i get nostalagic every time.

  5. The book has some of Kings best horror and terrifying moments.

  6. It's just well written, juggling between present/past could've gone horribbly wrong

  7. Henry Bowers is the best human villain in Kings work.

These are just my opinions so don't get upset.

What do you think?

My motherboard specs list 4 Sataports but i can physically only find two?

The model is Asus G11CD, so it hasn't got a NVME slot. However it lists 4 Sataports i could attach a second SSD but i can't find them. Anyone here know more about computers if they're just in a different place than the first two and where? Millions of thanks.

If i love The witcher 3 and other open world games would i like Kingdom come: Deliverance?

I really want to get into another immersive open world game that i can sink hours & hours into, with good characters/storytelling. Can you tell me without spoilers what to expect from the game?

I can't run the game

So i have I7 processor and rtx 2060 as well as 16gb additional ram. I know folks who have run it with worse hardware. Thing is i don't have an SSD. Is it really only because of that. I mean i can run it but it stutters at points, sometimes textures don't load fast enough so i fall through the map. It's just the SSD?

One thing i don't like in the ending of Misery

Is the fact that Annie actually DID escape through the window and somehow got those papers out of her mouth.

  1. She was already turning black in the face when Paul shut the door and apparently lost conciousness. After that it takes paul 10-15 minutes to pass out. I'm supposed to believe that Annie went 20minutes without being able to breathe? Nah.

  2. I could accept that however, IF her getting out would make the ending better but imo, it didn't. I thought it was very effective, how even after we believe Annie is 100% dead, Paul is still so traumatized that he is afraid to open the door because he can't bring himself to be certain she is dead. I thought the point was, that no one could've survived what Annie went through and still Paul is afraid because of his trauma. Only to find out after a few pages that Paul was a 100% right to be afraid because Annie actually didn't die right away and was able to get to the chainsaw before collapsing. And for what? For two fake-outs. First the "there's no one in that room" & then the "Annie killed me in my apartment" scene. I thought the ending would've been a 100% better if Annie did die in that room but Paul was just so messed up & traumatized by her, that he couldn't believe it. You could even do the "there's no one in that room" -scene but in reality the cop said something else but Paul was just so fucked up he heard him say what he was afraid of.

So yeah, really like the book but this ending always bothers me. Not because it's bad but because it could've been PERFECT if King had just stopped while he was ahead. What's your opinion on the ending?
