I have not done expensive item return to Amazon before, are they safe? Or is there a local market in NJ (near NYC) anyone knows of I can sell this off for same price?

I have a new MBA 15 inch M5 16/512 in Amazon order which I do not need anymore. Will be delivered later this week. I am gonna cancel it, but if anyone's interested in buying it at old prices then I will be happy to help out. Price will be exact what I got it for.

I have ordered both at old prices, roughly ~1250 and ~2150 from Amazon. They will ship later this week so I have till then to cancel. For context, I am a Software Dev, and have a MBP M4 Pro 24GB/512GB from work. Office Mac works great, no complaint - activity memory is almost always in yellow but I have tons of programs open at any given time - docker, vs, sublime, edge, etc.

I want to buy one for personal use, but can't seem to decide. I sometimes do like to tinker around with personal development projects. A lot of browsing, but not so much of media consumption. My entire setup now is with high refresh rates and decent 4K monitors.

I just can't make up my mind if MBA 60Hz and 16GB RAM will cut it for me, and if performance wise I will regret something later. With RAM prices, future proofing is also a big concern.

MBA 24GB would have been nice, I was not able to get one at older price. Does anyone who owns both can share their thoughts on this?

My AC is usually at 74 (electricity is expensive), and since yesterday I am seeing 75% humidity reading. These things can be way off, but maybe because of the thunderstorms. We are in a new rental, I am trying to figure out if something is wrong with my ventilation?
