Just a flesh wound!

Picked these up on a local buy-nothing group. Turns out they’re in worse shape than I’d realized. I was hoping to resuscitate them, but I think it’s beyond that. It’s too bad, they’re super classic.

Best casual EDC for under $40?

Don’t need a million tools, might not even need pliers. I do like having screwdrivers and maybe a package opener. I’m seeing so many options in this range, including cheap Leathermans, HF Gordon, Nextool minis, SAK Tinker & Super Tinker, Gerber Armbars, the list goes on.
So what’s your pick for this use case?
Currently I carry a knife, and a compact 4mm multi bit screwdriver the size of a sharpie.

Overall brand fit advice

Overalls are weird. I’m 5’11”, proportionally long torso with some belly, shorter muscular legs. I got some used Patagonia overalls, sized up for comfort and all is well. They’re warm for summer wear.

I wanted a lighter pair, so ordered Liberty’s in the same size and the fit is weird. Their stock photos show how they’re narrower at the waist, with sort of loose flappy wings on the side of the bib. The legs are comically wide; the Patagonia leg openings are 10” and plenty roomy, the Liberty’s are 11”. I imagine if you were rail thin, they might work a little better, but that’s not the body I’m working with.

So who makes a reasonably priced lightweight denim or hickory bibs that fit real bodies?

Totes! Trucks vs Shop bags?

Are all of the totes basically variants on a theme with different sizes? The basic truck and large open shop tote are the same capacity and price. So what are the key the differences?

Looking for a ~ 4x6x1” organizer pouch, to consolidate what I currently carry in 2-3 ghost whale pouches. Love the Handy Little Thing, but it’s bigger & thicker than I need. Looking for a few pockets, some elastic loops, and probably an external attachment loop. I prefer styles that open like a book over a slot on the long edge.

There are some EDC and “admin pouches” (vioperade, maxpedition, etc) that look close, but I hate the milspec MOLLE Velcro look. A color would be nice but I’ll take black if that’s the only option.

My next idea was looking at pencil cases and similar, but figured someone here might have already figured this out. Thanks!
