Was this Korean grandma criticizing or praising my snack choice?

This was in LA, in Koreatown. Im at the Korean grocery store on the chips aisle and I find my favorite: Nongshim Honey Twist Snack.

An older woman in the aisle with me says to me "You like that?" I tell her yes, its my favorite because its not too sweet. She says "wowww" and walks away.

What did she mean?! Was it a good thing? Was it weird that I like those snacks? Are they not very popular? Im Black if that helps at all.

Edit: So my suspicious were correct and it is a snack for the older generation. Hahaha! Well they have great taste!

Go 6 Gen II Plum: Very dark, basically black in some light

Hope this helps those who have specifically been asking to see how "purple-ish" the Plum color is.

Plum is a very dark muted purple, think of a purple that is close to the color of a dark blackberry (fruit). In low lights, it looks black. I think this is intentional since this device is meant to cater to those who would buy a black device.

Still, I think the color is very beautiful and gives this gen an overall more premium feel than the gen I.

Anyone else think the highlight color is too light?

It's a very small issue but there's just not enough contrast imo.

LA folks: On June 20, the Central Library in DTLA is hosting a special event honoring her legacy. There will be a panel discussion, a role-playing game, and a screen printing activity!

Check it out here: https://www.lapl.org/labs/octavia-lab/parables

Each event requires a separate RSVP. I'll be attending the tabletop roleplaying game! Hopefully I'll see some of you there, could be cute to have a little reddit meetup!

Anyone else prefer recessed screens over flushed?

Less prone to finger prints, glare, and since it doesn't have the additional glass layer of flush screens, the surface still has that wonderful papery texture.

The ai slop on this kindle kids case is shockingly bad

I know every company is embracing ai but I guess I assumed Amazon would at least try to clean this up and make it look like they care.

I thoroughly enjoyed this one. It's about 2 friends who have this not-quite-platonic but also toxic, queer, obsessive relationship who grow up together in the 90s and eventually both become artists in NYC.

I enjoyed the themes of white saviorism, privilege, religion, and unhealed trauma. I didn't care for the end though.
