Molar g3 time

The last mac in my collection is getting recapped. Everything else is done. 100+ computers. Quite a beast to work on. Analog and yoke board are done. Did logic last year. Psu is next. Then button up and enjoy. Also reflowed all the important things like flyback and yoke board. As well as molex header on psu. Will make a cap list for the psu. I found a list for analog and yoke board online.

Restored this dual 1229Q

Picked this beautiful turntable up this week. Needed some cleaning and a new part. Now she works again. Mostly a vintage computer guy who restores them turntables are a different beast. Replaced the rifa safety cap as well. It looked ready to pop.

Dual 1229Q restored

Picked this up used and didn’t work properly. Searching and asking around gave me the answers I needed. Had to order a new part, clean and lube everything that needed it, replaced old rifa cap. She works good now. Just some fine tuning. Main pic a google grab as i didnt take a completed one yet. Love vintage electronics.

Logic board recap day

Got some boards today so time to recap and test:)

First board a iivx i needed to replace a battery bombed board. Recapped with organic polymer caps. Now i have a complete iivx with a very clean case.

Second board is a iivi. Basically same as above. Just no fpu and slower cpu. Used tantalums on it.

Third board is a 8100/110 ppc 601. Nice board, works perfectly. Recapped with organic polymer caps.

Roland jv-30 issues

Hey, beginner here. I have a roland jv-30 that works but not completely. Have two white keys and two black keys that dont make a sound. Also the buttons on the top are not always playing nice. I took it apart, cleaned all contacts on keyboard with deoxit or isopropyl 99%. Some buttons work better but the keyboard is still the same. Also the volume slider sucks. Is there a good source of parts for these anywhere? I am good with soldering if need be to replace volume slider and any of those buttons if they need to be replaced.

Thanks for any info! Got this at a thrift for $14 bucks just trying to restore it. Have tons of vintage restoration experience just not so much with these things.

Calculator watch:)

Always loved calculators and especially watches with them. Only one left in my collection is my 80’s radio shack one. I do have a ti-89, and ti-83 too.

Restored finally! Teac a-450

Finally got the missing belts for my Teac cassette deck. This is a decent sounding and believe it or not the top of the line cassette deck in 1973. I didnt recap this, but probably should. There is a ton of caps…but it is restored to working condition;)

Top is a 6100/66 av. I do have a 6100/66 av in another room thats mint, but this one could be as well if i could find a cdrom bezel thats not broken. 7100/66 has av card, the 8100/110 is in a 7500 case so i call it my modded 8100. The 7200/90 is on the bottom. All recapped, and restored. On top of it all is a 17” apple vision crt thats recapped. Dont have room for all in my museum area, but this works. It is in my work / play area.

I dont know how many of these i have restored over the last few years. Classic and classic ii. The hard drive is pooched, but not uncommon. It wasn’t battery bombed which is always a concern buying untested. Caps did enough damage though. Had to redo pads for one cap and pull of three ic chips to clean legs and pads. Over all another nice little compact mac. Also working on mu custom ppc 8100/110. Put it in a 7600 case. Just need to fix a few plastics and all is good to go with that.
