Look, I love Bring me to life, but one of the best things about it is the energy and frenetic aspect of it.

A few years ago the band changed the song adding that long break where Amy hypes the crowd and than does the rap. I really liked this version when they started doing it, but now I think it's bad. The change they made completely breaks the pace of the song and it doesn't sound as epic as the original. I am not even complaining about the rap, but the pace. I actually prefer the way they were playing in 2011 which was just like the disc version but without the male vocals.

Actually the best version of the song by far is that Demo that does not have male vocals but instead has a great guitar solo.

I am genuinely curious. Historically Evanescence either used those closed arenas or medium sized stadiums. However now in this tour they have chosen these Amphitheaters kind of arena.

Also, for those who went to this tour concerts, how is the experience compared to what we used to get in the past? Is the arena an upgrade or downgrade in terms of experience?

I am doing some brainstorm in my mind for an academic research that I might do in the future, and answers to this question might give me a direction.

I've met a few people from other european countries and also people from other spanish reagions who said that Valencians are way more closed socially than the rest, in the sense that it's very hard for them to include new friends in their groups once they reach adulthood.

I met a spanish woman that lived there for more than 10 years and she made only one real friend there. She emphasized that she had a way easier time in other regions before.

Is this true?

I think that the overall consensus was that Nick's mixing on TBT wasn't that good, but come on, the best mixing in Sanctuary is actually in his songs:

• "Afterlife"
• "About Us"
• "Calm Down"
• "Forever Without You"

About Us and Calm Down deserve special recognition on how perfect their mixing are. Amy's voice stand out without erasing anything in the background.

So, the same way we criticized him for his TBT work, we should congratulate him for the AMAZING work in this album. Thank you!

Hi guys, I am not literate in music so I cannot recognize what notes are she is singing, but at the same time I love knowing these things.

8. Calm Down: 8.5/10 -> The bridge is sick and the "ohh's" make it spooky somehow.

11. Who will you follow: 7.5/10 -> great song but I wouldn't pick this as the single.

The bold text maks the ones that deserve music videos IMO.

Average album rating: 8.6/10

I think it's up there on Mount Olympus with TOD and Fallen. If Sanctuary had a little bit more orchestra and operatics I would probably have rated it as the best EV album of all time.

The worst song is easily and 7.5 out of 10 for me. top tier mixing.

The balads are on another level to be honest

I love how each one of us will have completely different rankings. This shows how epic this album is.

Is Evanescence one of the hardest band for festivals to place correctly?

On paper, they are massive. Their streaming numbers easily crush most other bands on the festival, and their setlist is packed with 2000s hits that everyone knows.

Yet, half the time, the crowd looks completely dead. It feels like a major vibe mismatch.

If a festival drops them right in the middle of a heavy deathcore or metalcore lineup, the crowd is there to mosh, not listen to symphonic alt-rock (or wathever you classify ev).

Are festivals just bad at placing them, or is Evanescence just too unique to fit nicely on a metal bill? And most importantly, what can festivals do to better position the band?

1. Rock am ring 2023 - even though Amy's voice was sick the crowd was super involved
2. Rock in rio 2025 - sure latam crowds are crazy, but the lineup made a lot of sense

Hoje chegou um email pra todo mundo na empresa explicando a redução de funcionários nível junior alegando "otimizações na produtividade da empresa". Meu gerente disse que em reuniões privadas a justificativa foi clara: "baixa produtividade na era da IA".

Pra piorar a empresa tinha antes programas comunitários pra ensinar e inserir pessoas na área tech, mas cancelaram o programa sem falar uma palavra.

Que mundo de merda estamos vivendo? A empresa reportando crescimento e lucros recordes trimestre após trimestre.

Songs that she never sang live or ones that she had been lowered or changed to falsetto.

One I know she can't sing is "Like you" because she said in an interview in 2007 that it was ultra high belt and that at the time she probably couldn't sing it live since it took her multiple attempts during recording.

I also noticed that "Lost in paradise" is no longer belted in live shows.

EDIT: I am not criticizing or judging her at all. Her voice and technique actually got better over time. I am just curious about the songs that we might never hear in the same key again.
