Brace said this on the most recent episode when discussing addicts getting into recovery and the idea that every point in their life had led them to that point. I am a recovering addict (4 yrs clean) and this quote really hit me because I don’t think I’ve heard this notion expressed before. I’ve held more to the idea of well it can’t all have been bad because it led me to recovery! But Brace is right. Sometimes I just wasted time and needlessly suffered.
Anyway. I really appreciate all the recovery perspectives he brings into various topics across the whole show.
