Any tips for driving on narrow country roads like this?

Driving on these types on roads in the daytime for two days for the first time.

If it's a two way road, do you horn going around the bend? What do you do if there aren't any passing places and you meet a car in the middle, who reverses?

I want to avoid scratches on my car so I don't want to go too far into the left where the bushes are. Could I close my wing mirror if a car wants to squeeze past?

[Product Request] Exfoliation for dead skin flakes for sensitive skin

I am looking for gentle Exfoliation for my legs. I have sensitive eczema prone skin, I don't have eczema on my legs just very dry patches.

I have cold or warm showers while i exfoliate with an exfoliating glove and body wash. Then I apply a thick lotion while my skin is still damp and a few hours later my legs are not dry but there's a layer of dead skin on top. So it's moisturised apart from the dead skin just sitting on top of it.

I'll put another layer of lotion on and then after a few hours, the same thing happens.

I don't know how to get rid of this, I don't over exfoliate either, sometimes I just use an exfoliating body scrub instead of the glove and the same thing happens.

I have looked into chemical peels but my skin is sensitive so I don't know where to start.

Growing up I had severe eczema on my legs, 20 years later it's healed but I still have dry skin. I have tried maybe hundreds of different lotions, body wash, moisturisers and even lotion sprays and my legs are moisturised but the dead flakes just seem to stay.

lnstructor said to report issues directly with him instead of his driving school company

My relative lives in the countryside so lnstructors are very hard to find.

She's had a few lessons with him, and each lesson he'd arrive 15min late, stop to fill up, stop to go to the toilet, go to the shops, cancel lessons 5mins before and whenever she asked to make up the time at the end of the lesson, he refused saying he has another learner waiting.

She's a student and she's using her savings to pay for these lessons! However she's not getting the full hour or full 2 hours because he's always doing something.

She reported this to the driving school company he's working at and the next lesson, he was very annoyed. He said he'll give extra time at the end of lessons from now on but to report any future issues directly with him first.

She feels like she's not learning in her lessons because she's afraid of making any little mistakes as he gets so annoyed and tells her off for it. She feels like ever since she reported him, he seems like he's constantly annoyed about everything.

I have told her to change lnstructors and she's trying but it has been difficult as it took her weeks finding this one.

What should she do until then?

Has anyone tried Cold plasma treatment, or Cold Atmospheric Plasma therapy for severe eczema?

My sister has severe eczema all over her body, her skin is very thick and it looks like topical steroid withdrawal as she has been prescribed one steroid after another for more than 10+ years. She has tried light therapy, photo therapy, allergy tests, cutting out most food, everything that has been suggested by NHS doctors, private doctors, allergists, dermatologists. She's even been abroad to try other medications and treatments, yet nothing has worked. She's under 18 years old so a few things she can't try simply because of her age.

Now the doctor has suggested cold plasma therapy. Something I haven't heard of before. It's not funded by the NHS so it will be quite expensive.

Has anyone tried it or know anyone that has?

Everyone laughed at my broken 148k mileage Toyota Yaris selling for £1k on this sub, someone just bought it for £800 in cash

I made a post about an automatic 2006 Toyota Yaris with 148k miles on it on this sub and if anyone would buy it for £1k a few weeks ago.

People were saying they wouldn't even take it for free even if I paid them.

I deleted the post (which I now regret) because it was getting so many negative comments. I've never sold a car before and people were calling me thick for wanting to sell it for that much.

I listed the issues, a defective auto clutch actuator and the boot was broken. After calling all the local garages they all quoted around £600 to fix the clutch.

Now someone has bought the car for £800. Cash. They're aware of all the issues.

This was just a I told you so moment because soooo many people were being negative in that post. I hope at least one person remembers the post lol

Realistically, how much would you pay for a automatic 2006 Toyota Yaris 146k mileage car, with a defective clutch actuator

The car still runs from A to B but sometimes shifts into neutral randomly when I'm driving. I had to be collected by AA the first time it happened as I was miles away from home. I've driven it since but only short distance and it hasn't been going into neutral.

I've called all the garages around me and some can't fix the clutch as it's an automatic clutch and some are quoting £600. So I've decided to declare it as SORN.

It's now up on Fb market place for £1k, and people are interested to see it. I've written about the issue of the car. And people want to negotiate the price.

But I've never sold a car so unsure of how much it should cost.

I bought the car when it had 120k mileage for £2.2k but of course it didn't have a faulty clutch then

How much would you pay for this car or think is a reasonable price given the fault?

Why was the driver and his whole family angry at me?

I was driving along an empty 50mph dual carriageway at night. A car on the right hand lane was doing 40 and I didn't want to undertake him so I went to the right lane and flashed him twice then he moved over to the left lane.

He then sped up, went back to the right lane, behind me and flashed me twice, so I went back to the left lane.

He was still driving slow on the right lane and again I didn't want to undertake so I went back to the right lane and flashed him again.

This probably went on 3 times and every time he hit the breaks when he went back to the left lane for some reason.

I did think we were just being silly on the road, didn't seem dangerous. No one was tailgating anyone. I wasn't that close when I was flashing him. It was late night so 0 cars around.

Then at the end of the carriageway we stopped at the traffic lights next to each other.

I put my window down, smiled and gave a thumbs up. I assumed it was young people, it was a very angry family of 5.

The passenger rolled her window down and she looked really angry, red in the face. she started swearing so I put my window back up. The driver was swearing along with her too. I didn't hear what they said as I had music playing but they were swearing, physically too the entire time it took for the traffic lights to turn green.

I should've said sorry but I was in shock because that was the first time I encountered road rage. And they were a big family, I'm just a 4ft10 woman so if it escalated I wouldn't know what to do.

I am confused about what I did wrong though? I thought you could flash people to move out the way on right hand lanes, as people sometimes do it to me.

Anyone know why a police helicopter keeps circling the areas in Darlaston?

I know this isn't a Birmingham post so apologies for that.

This has been happening for over half an hour and I'm just wondering why.

If you apply make up on top of a layer of protopic on your face, will the protopic still work?

So I made the post about accidentally putting spring onion on my face instead of aloe Vera and getting a huge flare up on this sub.

The flare up went an hour after applying protopic and taking a strong antihistamine.

Then an hour later of applying the protopic, I put make up on to go to work.

Now i'm scared to take my make up off because I don't think the protopic has fully absorbed, it's been about 16 hours but it usually takes a bit longer to sink in. But the question is, was the protopic even working under my make up? You can still see the oilyness through the foundation and my foundation is usually matte. I even put some translucent powder half way throughout the day because it looked so oily after a few hours. I have extremely dry skin so it was protopic.

Can anyone please advise? Should I just wash my face now or before I go to bed in a few hours? I realllyy want the protopic to work as it still looks like there's a slight flare up under my make up and I know if I wash it off now the flare up with double in size as water does that with existing flare ups.

Accidentally used spring onion on my face instead of aloe Vera now my face has flared up!

I had slight redness on my face and I woke up early for work, so I thought I'd put on a bit of aloe Vera gel straight from the source. My face instantly started burning, I have a cold so my sense of smell isn't the greatest. Finally realised it was spring onion and quickly washed my face.

It was too late, my face puffed up and became bright red with hives everywhere. I was laughing at myself the whole time thinking how can I be this stupid lol

I quickly applied protopic and took an antihistamine. It was burning so much, I had to sit Infront of a fan for an hour.

This was an hour ago, the redness, burning and hives have now gone.

This was a stupid mistake, I never put just anything on my face but I really thought it was aloe Vera because of the size, but it was just a huge spring onion.

Have you accidentally used something for your eczema thinking it was something else?

Why do some cyclists wear all black, have no reflectors or lights while riding around in the night?

The one time I hit a cyclist (sorry) with my car was when I first got my licence. It was dark, raining and the roads looked empty. I was reversing slowly because I missed my junction (something I wouldn't usually do but it was late at night and the roads seemed empty) suddenly I saw an orange justeat bag getting squished against my rear window. I didn't knock him off of his bike but I did still lightly hit him. I rolled my window down and said sorry and he just looked at me and carried on.

This situation made me more weary of cyclists especially those who wear all black. I've noticed that I see it every night. But the question is why do they do it? It's like riding a motorbike without a helmet but worse.

It was on the side of a country road, it was labelled "Services" in huge writing at the side of the road so I assumed it meant services as in toilets and restaurants! I drove through it, saw there were only trucks and barriers and realised it was not a service station when it said "Truck Service" . I waited a few minutes while I changed my sat nav route and then left. I'm now worried I'm going to get a fine as someone I know did for driving through a place like this.

My first car had issues every month for 2 years so I don't want to go through all that again so I am here for advice for my second car.

I test drove the 2021 vauxhall Corsa electric and I really enjoyed it. 35k mileage. 1 owner. (But he was a taxi driver) 92.7% battery range/health. I have the full battery certificate although I don't fully understand it, it says good health.

Warrant options are 1 year £499, 2 year £799, 3 year £999. Can be paid in monthly installments.

Theres a full nationwide cover and can go to any garage in the country. It also covers everything electrical and mechanical.

So what do you think of the car? It's in good condition, the tyres and alloys are all scruffed up but they're going to be changed before I buy it. The car will be serviced too.

I'm weary about it because I just don't want to keep taking it to the garage every now and then, I spent so much money fixing my last car that in the end it was just not worth it and is now sitting in a garage.

With charging, we have free rapid and normal EV charging bays at work that I can use anytime. There is also a Morrisons with EV bays less than a minute away from me. I don't have home charging, but it could be a possibility if I really need it.
