So, I took my history gcse in 2025 and I’m only just realising I might have been scammed out of an 8

Hey, there. It’s me, the Tony Blair fan fic writer. So, if you read some of my posts. You might have known that I did my History GCSE in 2025 and that my school forgot to give me, my extra time during the early GCSE’s exams of this year.

So, I’m lying in bed. Thinking about results day and my mind flickers back to how my school forgot to give me extra time at the beginning exams. I then realised, I was supposed to be given extra time as well, when I did my 2025 history exams. I was two marks off of an 8. Now I was unaware I had extra time then and my school didn’t register it. But I was supposed to, and if I had my deserved extra time, I know for a fact I would’ve gotten an 8, cos I would have a slowed down and will have definitely gotten two spag marks-which would have gave me that 8

Hell, if I found out that I should have had extra time before December of last year, I could have contacted them and they would have probably given special consideration of 2%. Which would have changed my grade.

Now, it’s August 2026 and there’s no way for me to rectify it. I know someone of you reading this would be like “You still got a 7. I would be lucky if I get a 5 next Thursday.” And Yh, you’re right. But that was my grade. That unless I have the money and time to retake. I will be carrying onto 6th form and uni. I’m disheartened and did successfully hold back my tears rn, cos that’s my hard work. My schools forced me to learn two topic at once. I was dealing with my history exam while doing my mocks and some personal stuff. That’s my grade, that I rightfully should have gotten. That I will never get now. And that’s enough to piss anyone off

So, the Clacton MP debate was a half an hour ago and Nigel was no show

Literally Nigel was a no show and most of the candidates are either more far-right than him like Kai Stevens or just clones. However, the Forward Party guy, Adham Alkhatip said some things that was common sense like how immigration shouldn’t divided us and was going after Kai’s racists rhetoric. If I lived in Clacton, I would probably vote for him ngl

So, I made a fake Reform account and wants to drip feed Reform supporters with “woke” ideas.

So, I got this idea from an American YouTuber who did the same to MAGA. But first before he started drip feeding them. He posted pro-Trump stuff to build a following and then drop fed them. So, what are some classic Reform points and what are any “woke” things that can be reworded. So, I can drip feed them?

So, I rewatched Pacific Rim for the first time in years

So, with the cool for the summer edits all over my fyp. I decided to rewatch it, and omg. Was it absolute cinema. Despite it being over a decade since it came out, the cgi still holds up quite well. The writing was phenomenal, I almost cried when Pentecost died and the music was amazing. It’s a shame that the second film sorta killed the franchise. At least, the anime was good. But, anyways. Toro cooked with this film

I’m in her enclosure and instead of her talking to me and opening the portal. She’s just swimming and occasionally sitting down. How tf am I supposed to finish the game if she’s just swimming around?

Edit: Nvm, I’m stupid. Forgot to put the ion cube in the incubator

Andy Burnham is now Prime Minister. Who is he and what does this mean for your GCSEs and post-GCSEs studies?

For those that don’t know. Andy Burnham was elected as an MP in the 2000s, where he served in Tony Blair’s and Gordon Brown’s government. He came 4th place in the 2010 Labour Leadership election and 2nd place in the 2015 Labour Leadership election. He stepped down as MP in 2017 to run for the new position of Mayor of Greater Manchester following the Conservative Government’s policy of English devolution. Where he won and all subsequent elections in a landslide. He became insanely popular and was dubbed “King of the North”. In 2025, when Starmer began to lose grip of the Labour Party and the Labour began to bleed out voters due to populism in the Greens and Reform. He was begged by a large group of Labour MPs to run against Starmer. In June, he won the Makerfield election in a landslide as well-allowing him to run against Starmer. But Starmer resigned and with no other competitors, it allowed Burnham to be coronated as Leader of the Labour Party and to become Prime Minister.

So, for the mods not to take this down for being off-topic. How would he change the GCSEs and post-GCSEs?

For GCSEs, it will largely stay the same. Except there will be a more larger focus on vocational subjects and offering more technical GCSEs. But, now this is where the main changes are. After the GCSEs, the new Prime Minister wants to get rid of making universities that main aim of students. Coming from the North-Burnham saw universities as something that the Southern Upper-class made as an aim. But for places suffering from deindustrialisation, such as the North and the Midlands, that isn’t really a feasible goal for students living in deprived communities. So, he is trying to make degree-apprenticeships and other Vocational/technical alternatives as an easy and viable option. He is going to stop making being in STEM as a sign of being successful and ending the stigma of not choosing STEM in the UK and will make sure that other areas such as trades crafts and humanities get the love and support they so deserved, allowing other students, that are not so into STEM, and from deprived areas to go into other areas and still succeed.

Reform’s smear campaign of Count Binface is hilarious

I’m shedding a tear as all of these videos of Reform launching a smear campaign is killing me. Like, they called him an establishment politician for working for the BBC once. And they’re trying to investigate his finances-which is ironic. I’m dying to see that Reform is actually scared of a bin from Sigma-9

What’s the best paths to restore NATO? (Along with submods)

Like what paths should I set the UK to? Like which Party? Labour, the Tories, or the SDP? And which of the American unifiers are the best one? Also, is there a sub mod to add content for Canada?

I think I miss school

At the time of writing this, it is 06:06. In couple of hours time, it will be 10:50. Making it 2 weeks since I finished my physics exam. Then 20 minutes afterwards, it will be 11:20. Marking two weeks since I last left my school gates.

In those two weeks, I have been doing nothing. The lack of school, the inability to actually engage in politics, and not seeing any of the people that I like seeing, has made me feel lost. Like I have no purpose except to bedroom and doomscoll. And I can’t go to prom to see them. I made the decision not to go and when I began to realise that I probably should have reserve a spot. It was too late. So, that’s gone.

My plan was to originally get a job, join the Labour Party(Don’t hate me for my politics please), earn some money to buy a laptop and buy doughnuts for my entire year group. But I can’t find a job, so all of those can’t happen.

And these two weeks made me realise something. A day is only amazing because of school. Like most of my best memories are because I spent time with those idiots I called my classmates. And I hated it then, sitting in chemistry. But it was kinda fun. Me getting stuck in those big industrial bins in yr 9. A scandal going around because of a tiktok account began to ship everyone. That was fun.

And regarding last week’s heatwave. We all boiled in that heat. But if we was school for the two days that school was still open. It would have been peak. As you and your friends would be taking the piss out of your teachers and mucking about because school allow you to take off your ties and blazer

So, I think that I miss school. It gave me something to do with my life. As I am finishing this, the time is 6:19. So, before I post this. To any Year 10s reading this. Make the most out of year 11 and do not be absent at any events whether that’s prom or some after school thing. Trust me, you will regret that

This is u/Imperlisticredcoat, signing off for what might be my penultimate post on r/gcse. Take care

What the next leader of the Labour Party can learn from Blair

Now that Starmer has resigned, I think we can see what the man who won us 3 terms, could teach us

Blair had no problem with communications, he constantly costed talk shows and threw himself in with major figures in 1990 British Pop Culture. Even being called the 6th member of the spice girls. A controversial thing that Blair did was the use of spin doctors such as Campbell. To the wider public, spin doctors are a kinda dirty profession and it’s even dirtier when you’re employing them. But Spin Doctors are useful. A competent Spin Doctor can make the media cycle from being slander about you to, for lack of better words, glazing you. His speeches also had a lot of energy. Like I was watching his 2006 conference speech and I was out of my seat just clapping and screaming.

So, where am I going with this? I saying that this shows that Blair, due to having great communication skills and an excellent (albeit unethical) team, allowed him to weather any controversy such as the PFI in the public sector and tuition fees in universities. He even managed to get some heat off of Iraq. Starmer had none of that. His team was horrible at getting the policies that were excellent a crossed the media cycle. Without spin doctors, the media were not kind to him, shall we say. And Starmer wasn’t that energetic of a speaker. Don’t get me wrong, his speeches were amazing. But he didn’t have that flamboyance that Blair had to reach an increasingly, politically-apathetic youth.

And that leads me on to the next point, young people. Blair was highly popular amongst young people during his Premiership. Still is now. Just on onto tiktok. This was because one, Blair was young. But mainly, he knew how to reach out to them. Starmer didn’t. Like the u16 ban and curfew for 16 year olds were just suicidal. You’re giving them the right to vote, but you’re restricting their access for to form their own political opinion. There’s no wonder why saying Starmer’s name in a class of year 11s results in people shouting bellend and wanker. If Starmer didn’t do any of that. Then he would have a lot more support amongst them. Although, the Starmer’s quietness on the genocide in Gaza would still damage it

Also, Blair took risks. Even if it meant that he might be ousted from office. Take the Iraq war, it was approved though Parliament first. Blair said that if it wasn’t approved, he would resign. The threat of that caused the majority of the PLP to back the war as they wasn’t prepared yet to replace Blair. Also, Blair put his foot down on a hugely unpopular war. Starmer had u-turns for policies that would have been forgotten after the 72 hour media cycle ended. Starmer also had one of the largest majorities in history, yet he played it safe. Acting as if it was a minority Government. He brought positive change, but nothing radical to satisfy people. Blair introduced the Human Rights Act, minimum wage, devolution and Civil Partnerships-in the face of mass religious opposition. Although, Blair could have fought harder and got Same-Sex Marriages as well.

So, that brings us to now. Blair is, depending on your views, the messiah or the devil. No one wants the anti net-zero, complicit in genocide, digital id Blair that he turned into after Covid, that the modern Blairites support (might have just pissed them off, but ohh well). But his method, while unethical with the spin doctors, are efficient and can work. Once Burnham becomes PM (Who are we kidding, it’s going to be a coronation). Burnham could learn and adopt Blair’s methods to use in the modern age and against an increasingly anti-Labour and Reform spot-lighting media. As that where Starmer failed.
