100 Swiss francs bike project update

So I got this Rock rider EXPL 100 S from a guy that has done some interesting upgrade choices. The upgraded Rear shock FOX DHX is way too big for the frame he had locked it because it was touching the frame... The front headset upgrade was done in the way where he forgot a few elements like bearing for example... I had changed the whole headset because the FSA he put in was not the wrong size but the missing bearing destroyed the housing... Now I changed the FOX DHX to a Fox Float DPS as it was the correct fit for the geometry... I changed the hubs because I have noticed the wrong brand QR skewers got scared because everything he had done was a disaster... (And I kinda wanted a new HUB)

Sooo the Bike I got for a 100 swiss francs turned into 270 francs really quickly... The future plan is to get the Fox 34 at front (it is what geometry will allow for). Hydraulic Brakes I will be taking from another project bike I got... It is going well tbh...

What do you think of people mounting expensive stuff on bikes with no clue what are they doing?

Recently I'm getting back into the world of DH because I always loved it so much from when I was just a child on a small California going down the stairs... So I got digging and found this rock rider EXPL 100s for dirt cheap (100 swiss francs) and the guy upgraded his stock interface and cockpit... Cool Upgrade he also did a rear shock upgrade to a FOX DHX Air, but long story short I have noticed chippings on the fork, took the fork off and there it is, bearing missing from the interface... I was so astonished that I had to check every single bolt on the bike because I was scared to ride it otherwise... I got a whole new interface today thank god the casing of the old bearing was set up so it got destroyed instead of the frame... Still dirt cheap, great for trying the sport out again...

Any MTB/URBAN guys in Switzerland?

Hi guys, so long story short I'm doing a little project basically a 3 minute short film and I imagined the whole concept around guy on the bike having fun in the times when AI surveillance prohibits having fun. He is Unknown and AI is trying to build an image around him to find out who he actually is. It will be done in real quick fast transitions, and with really interesting colour grading that will follow the story. but I would really need someone who can ride bike (not dangerously but confidently). If you want cool piece for your socials as rider we could help each other out. and make this together. I have preproduction material ready if you are interested we can look over it. thanks in advance guys.

Moving to Sicily

Hey guys, after prolonged thinking about what I want from life and what would be a good decision for my career I decided to slow down, take life at a slower pace... A few places popped up as good options but I fell in love with Sicily, I have got a small sailboat I hope I can find a place on the port for it... The idea for now is Sciacca but would like to hear about other places that are not too crowded by tourists and really important for me is history, I'm a film director and having a daily dose of inspiration I find attractive. Thanks in advance.

Your thoughts about AI in Filmmaking?

As many of us know AI is taking real part in the industry. We got so many tools that are able to generate footage from prompts and ideas we have. In one way at first I was thinking what a useful tool to have, but now it is completely something different I feel like we are loosing our creative selfs. AI is writing stories, writing ideas, and then even writing prompts for the video generation tools.

If AI takes all of these aspects of filmmaking what will come out of it?

We will have movies that will stick to the rules of writing, every single story will have same base plot, It will be predictable and on top of all of that filmmaking as we know will die.

Why sudden interest in this you may ask?

Very good friend of mine astonishing filmmaker and writer, Started project to see how much current technology actually affects our day to day lives in filmmaking, and what we saw was scary. People are less and less getting their stories written themselves in amateur filmmaking. That means golden era of self-taught filmmakers that went on to prove their place in industry is done. We will see less and less of those filmmakers appear and less and less of them will actually know story principles.

What is your position on all of this?

FIFA won't fix itself, so a group of us is drafting an actual alternative. Looking for ultras and fans from every confederation.

FIFA won't fix itself, so a group of us is drafting an actual alternative. Looking for ultras and fans from every confederation.

I've been an ultra for years and I'm tired of watching the same thing happen every four years. A tournament gets handed to whoever made the right people happy, and the fans who actually keep this sport alive get zero say in any of it. This isn't just a feeling either. In 2015 the US Department of Justice indicted more than a dozen FIFA officials over bribery tied to World Cup hosting votes, more charges came later that year, and FIFA's own Ethics Committee ended up banning Sepp Blatter and Michel Platini for eight years each. That's not ancient history, that's the organization that still runs the sport today.

Reform was never going to come from inside FIFA. It has to come from the people who actually show up, sing for ninety minutes, and pay for all of it. That's us. Not federations, not sponsors, not committees. Ultras.

So we're building The Twelfth Confederation, an actual working alternative, not a meme page or a venting thread. We're drafting real answers to real questions:

How a fan and club accountable governing body would function structurally, so it doesn't just become FIFA under a new name in twenty years

Hosting criteria based on real standards like infrastructure, human rights, and honest cost to benefit numbers, instead of a closed door vote

Whether the 48 team World Cup expansion actually helped the game or just padded revenue, and how qualification and calendar conflicts could be handled better

A realistic path to relevance, meaning alliances with supporter groups that already exist, players' unions, journalists who cover the sport, and anyone with actual leverage

But none of that matters without people willing to actually build it. So here's the real ask. We need:

People willing to talk regularly, not just join a Discord and go quiet. Voice calls, planning sessions, real back and forth on governance and format.

People willing to organise inside their own ultras groups. If you've got any pull in your group, that matters more than anything else here. Bring this to your group's leadership, don't just lurk and agree quietly.

People willing to push for something visible. At some point this leaves Discord and shows up in a stadium, whether that's a coordinated display or a message during a match, ideally across more than one city so it doesn't look like one section acting alone. If your group has organised tifos or displays before, that experience is exactly what we need.

People willing to have the harder conversation with their club. The real long term goal is getting clubs to seriously consider playing under a new, transparent confederation instead of FIFA's. That's a big ask of a club, and it only works if it's organised fan pressure, not one guy in the comments.

We need this from every confederation, not just a UEFA heavy project where everyone else gets talked over. CONMEBOL, CAF, AFC, CONCACAF, OFC, UEFA, doesn't matter where you're from. What matters is whether you can bring people, not just opinions.

No sponsors, no federation plants. Just people who care enough to actually do the work.
