how do we help one another ?

Hi!

My name's Owen and I know next to nothing about e-bikes, but I'm trying to find a way to help someone on the other side of the country from me.

Yesterday, I was scrolling facebook and saw somebody post about their e-bike in an adult autism support group lamenting the fact that their e-bike is busted and that they're living in a rural area and are now functionally stuck. Again, it's someone who's already going through it so I feel for him. I got to chatting with the gentleman and he informed me that the brakes weren't functioning and that the brake fluid doesn't stay in the cables and leaks all over the brake discs. Is this something catastrophic? Could this reasonably be repaired? Again, I know nothing I just wanna help folks.

I'm not really sure if there's anything we can do to help this guy? What would you do if you were in this guy's shoes? Do you guys know anything about sourcing a reputable e-bike repairman remotely? Bonus points if you have e-bike repairman recs in washington state?

What are your thoughts on this bad boy?

I think that it's probably their strongest record, from start to finish. My fav track is Down Payment Blues - not just from this album, but by AC/DC as a whole.

How do you actually suck a man?

Hey,

um, not sure if this is a post that's allowed here so please delete if not allowed but basically it's what the title says. Recently, I've had a queer awakening and I wanna get really good at sucking, I think having men in my mouth is extremely fun and I wanna have repeat playmates but I know I'm nowhere near good yet. How did you guys get better? How can I tastefully and respectfully ask men if they want to do it? Like, I'm very socially awkward and dating and sex and love and stuff is very difficult for me. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

Is it too late for me to enjoy my sexuality?

I'm 28 and have only had fleeting encounters with other men due to internalized shamed up until recently. While I feel like I have plenty of life ahead of me, I feel like I'm very inexperienced and like I'm going to undesirable due to inexperience. Have you guys ever felt that way? How did you get over it?

Did "I Saw the TV Glow" cause anyone else to have a crisis?

Hey!

Pretty much what the title says, I watched "I Saw the TV Glow" the other night and it really messed with my head, inducing a mild identity crisis. I'm not really sure what to make of it, of myself, or how it made me feel. Did anyone else have a funky experience with that movie?

thanks in advance!

Is a literacy-last approach to learning chinese as a second language a reasonable way to learn?

Hi!

My name's Owen and I want to learn Chinese, but I want to run my methodology by other language learners and see if anyone else has had success this way - or if this even makes sense.

I've been doing some basic googling about the greatest language learners in the world and it turns out NONE of them start with a literacy first approach. Nobody is sure why, but the evidence is clear. They all use a methodology that involves listening first, talking later, and learning the writing system later still. Seriously, think about it like this, who gives their babies writing tools while they're trying to get them to say mama or dada? Nobody, because that would be silly. When we learn our second languages for the first time, we don't know any of the words so why complicate the matter by trying to write them? By the time most people become literate in their first language, they're usually fluent. Somehow, I want to try this approach.

Am I just crazy? Does this type of approach work for anyone? Is it even feasible?

Which Beatles album mostly deeply affected YOUR musical development?

For me, it's Sgt Pepper without a doubt. I think the experimentation with genre, with songform, and the general surrealist vibe of the album influenced me. It is proof that the album is an artform in and of itself. Just killer tunes, man. Hbu?
