Any recommendations of where a couple who lived in NYC for 10 years should live if one person is working in Menlo Park and another is in downtown SF? Both jobs require in-office 5 days a week.

We have family in the city or in Brooklyn that have cars but nobody wants to drive all the way to jfk and back haha. But curious if there are great spots along the subway lines to at least meet people halfway or something to pick up or drop off for jfk flights?
