Question regarding Guy Gardner and Rao (Absolute Green Lantern #15)

So we see that in issue #15 of AGL that Guy Gardner is able to replicate the Red Lantern acid breath from the main universe by using his stomach acid and body manipulation. But I was under the impression from Issue #8 that Rao (red lanterns) trained under Oa weren't able to attack with their abilities, which is what made Tomar-Re so powerful (that he can attack with Rao powers). So I'm wondering how Guy was able to make this attack, since I thought he was under Oa teachings along with John Stewart (since he was selected by the Abin Sur). So is he not bound by Oa teachings/a Tomar? Or does the stomach acid thing just not count as an attack according to Oa teaching? I'm leaning towards the former rn but I would like some clarification.

What do you all think the Alien Stage anime is going to add to the story, if anything?

Personally, I'm really hoping for some more worldbuilding of the Alien world and how exactly humans got tangled up in it all. I get that Vivinos wasn't really able to explore this much in the original due to the character-focused narrative and limited time, but hopefully, with more time, we could get some more information about it.

Simple Dash Technique: Hyper Light

Base Technique: Hyper Light (HL) is a simple technique that allows the user to perform dashes. These dashes are not short-range teleportation; instead, they actually accelerate the user to speeds much greater than their normal running speed for a brief distance, before suddenly stopping them at the end of the dash’s length. These dashes also leave behind blurry afterimages of various colors (usually shades of blue and red). This is where the technique's name comes from.
The length of these dashes is typically set to a given length, usually around twice the user's height (so the exact length varies between users). The length can be altered with binding vows, but this is difficult to do on the fly.

Extension Techniques/Applications:

  • Dash Attack: Because these dashes aren’t teleportation and actually accelerate the user, attacks made during the dash will transfer the dash's momentum and deal increased damage.
  • Chain Dash: The speed of HL Dashes is based on the speed of the user while activating. They are the slowest (though still very fast) when the user activates one while they are still, and faster when the user is moving. This means that users can activate a dash right before the end of a previous dash to make the second dash even faster. This move does bring a lot of risk, though, as the user will take heavy damage if they crash, which becomes much more likely as speed increases.
  • Blur Dash: A variant of Chain Dash where, instead of activating another dash just before the end of the previous one, they activate it right after one. With this, an HL user can maintain a consistent speed to outmaneuver opponents while reducing the risk of a crash. This move is often used to overwhelm an opponent’s sight, and CE senses with the dash afterimages (the afterimages possess trace amounts of CE). Users can choose to create more afterimages with their CE to make this move more effective, but it costs notably more CE.
  • Dash Drag: When dashing, the user takes any items they're holding with them. Most of the time, this includes weapons, but can also include more animate things, like sorcerers and curses, provided the user can keep a firm grip on them. Dash Drag can be used to disorient and reposition opponents, or even damage them by using the momentum from dashes to throw/attack.

Notes: I think the inspo of HL is obvious lol. Been playing through it recently and it's quite fun. Just checked this sub recently; I couldn’t find a single dash-based technique, which seemed odd to me, so I created one. I was between this and the more teleport/invunerability window type dash you see in many games. I ultimately went for this approach instead because I couldn’t think of as many interesting applications/uses for that. Though I’m not a big fan of this version’s resemblances to the other speed-based CT in JJK, so if anyone has any recommendations on how to differentiate them more, that’d be appreciated.

Where do you scale Hunter x Hunter as a verse?

Where do you think most of the characters in the verse scale and where do you scale the absolute top-tiers of the verse (Meruem, Netero, etc)? Bonus points if you support your beliefs with some form of argument (feats, statements, calcs, etc).

Do you believe in Mach 3 Kaisen?

Note: When I say "Mach 3 Kaisen" here, I am referring to the belief that every character, save for very highest echelons of fast characters (Calmities, MBA, Maki, etc), are no faster than Mach 3 in any category of speed (aside from teleportation techniques).

A Combination Inspired Technique: Entropic Sorcery

Cursed Energy Discharge + Technique Extinguishment Inspired

Base Technique: Entropic Sorcery (ES) allows the user to degrade jujutsu phenomena like cursed technique effects and barriers into raw cursed energy within a given range of themselves. In theory, this can act as a way to bypass complex techniques and barriers, similarly to the Angel’s technique.
Of course, ES does come with some downsides compared to that of the Angel. For one, it cannot really affect raw CE, making it ineffective against CE blasts or reinforcement. Also, the resulting raw CE from a converted jujutsu phenomenon may burst outwards and damage the user. However, ES also offers some benefits, such as being less output-dependent than Technique Extinguishment, as it only converts CE and doesn't attempt to erase it.
Applications:

  • Technique and barrier nullification: The most obvious one. Users can also damage enemies with the burst of their raw CE, though it usually isn't very effective unless done on an especially costly technique, due to CE being from the target
  • Uncapped Output Blast: The user can use their technique on complex jujutsu phenomena, such as their own barrier or cursed tools, turning them into raw CE they can control and then blasting that CE out.
  • Uncapped Reinforcement: By covering their body in small barriers and using Entropic Sorcery on them, users can briefly overload their reinforcement with excess CE. This is an especially complex and costly application of Entropic Sorcery

Reversal: Negentropic Sorcery (NS) allows the user to create extremely complex jujutsu phenomena from their raw CE alone. In practice, this lets users create extremely refined barriers or true cursed tools very quickly and at a level beyond their usual proficiency, since the technique takes on the burden of skill rather than the sorcerer themselves. Of course, NS can only be used when the user is constantly flowing positive energy into the engraved area of their brain, which is very costly and difficult. When they stop pushing RCE into their brain, users may find that the jujutsu phenomena they created with it start to collapse somewhat.
Applications:

  • Barrier Creations: Users can create extremely refined simple domains to withstand domain expansions, or even an extremely refined barrier for their domain.
  • Cursed Tool Creation: Users can have their CE combined with nearby objects to create true cursed tools, which have their own CE reserves (as opposed to temporarily CE-enhanced objects). NS cannot create special-grade curse tools (tools with a special ability) without outside help, but the tools it creates do not change after NS is no longer in use.
  • CE interference: Users can interfere with nearby sorcerers’ and curses’ ability to control their CE by encouraging it to form more complex jujutsu phenomena, rather than simply flow as the sorcerer dictates. Can be pushed through with superior output.

Domain Expansion: Den of Decadent Dispute (DoDD)
This domain manifests a fighting arena the user is most familiar with, such as a boxing or MMA ring, as is the case with many modern users, with the caster and their target at the center. DoDD is similar to a nonlethal domain because its sure hit is only the near-instant degradation of any jujutsu phenomena beyond simple CE manipulation. This includes any barriers erected to counter the domain, such as simple domains and domain expansions, making it even more difficult to clash with than most nonlethal domains, usually leaving opponents drained of CE and damaged by the outburst of raw CE from the degradation of their domain.

Notes: Inspired by u/Apprehensive_Crab_88 and his Combination Inspired Technique. Seemed like a fun idea, so I figured I'd give it a shot. Maybe I'll do it again if anyone has any cool ideas for combo techniques. Constructive criticism and comments are appreciated as always.

A request

When saying you want a traditionally masculine man, I implore you all not to use terminology like "straight-passing" or "normal", and just say masc/masculine instead.

My reasoning:

- Feminine men are normal: I mean obviously. Less common, sure, but I don't think there's anything inherently abnormal about men, of any sexuality, who express interest in more traditionally feminine clothing, hobbies, etc. However, the use of the term "normal" for masculine men implies otherwise, and only furthers stigma around men engaging in feminine activities, which we really do not need.

- Feminine straight men exist and are valid: They're less common, yes, but they do exist, and phrasing like "straight-passing" to refer to masc guys only serves to erase their existence and imply that straight men can/should not express interest in feminine things, which is a very outdated idea.

- It is in YOUR best interest to do so: A prominent reason why there seem to be many less masculine gay men compared to feminine ones (as many here have astutely observed) is that being gay is seen as a "feminine" thing compared to heterosexuality, meaning that many masculine closeted men are less likely to figure out their sexuality early in life due to them believing it doesn't align with other aspects of their identity. This divide between homosexuality and masculinity society has created, which is preventing more masc gay teens from being open to dating men, is supported when you use terminology like "straight-passing" and "normal" to refer to masculine men, as it continues to imply that homosexuality and masculinity are separate things that cannot coexist.

Notes: I've been seeing a fair amount of people in this sub using this kind of terminology, and I don't really see anyone else discussing it, so here I am. Feel free to ask questions about my reasoning in the comments; I know it's not the most succinct phrasing, so I'm happy to reiterate my logic in a way you find more understandable.

Innate Technique: Untimely

Base Technique: Untimely allows the user to summon a shikigami, Meridian, that has the body of a large bobcat, but its head is replaced with a rather large starfish with 5 long limbs, with a single human-looking eye in the middle (imagine Starro from DC, but instead of just covering the head, it replaces it). Meridian’s tail resembles that of an eel, with the fin of the tail running up to the shikigami’s upper back. Meridian is a light shade of navy blue throughout its body and lacks fur, instead appearing to have smooth skin similar to that of an octopus. The size and strength of this shikigami, like most others, scale with the user’s own sorcery proficiency, though it is usually only slightly stronger than the user. It also possesses claws that can do decent damage.

Meridian has the unique ability to “pull” anything it touches into the future, removing it from the present and placing it there immediately. With enough experience, this condition can be changed to merely a radius around the shikigami, though this will lessen how far Meridian can pull a target.

This is most commonly used by Untimely users to pull themselves into the future before an attack hits, meaning they are not “present” in the timeline when the attack hits and thus avoid it, and then reappear moments later at the moment they pulled themselves to. The user can appear at a different location than they left, though only as far as they could've moved without cursed energy in the time period they were gone. For example, if a user ran 40 feet in 3 seconds without CE and pulled ahead by 3 seconds, they could appear up to 40 feet away from their last location when they left. Meridian can usually only pull targets seconds or, at most, minutes ahead in time.

Meridian can also pull other people/curses/objects ahead in time if it can establish physical contact with them. Non-users pulled ahead in time will always appear at the same point in space they were at when they were pulled. This maneuver can give an Untimely user time to recuperate and prepare an attack for when their target returns. However, Meridian also disappears when it “pulls” targets ahead in time, leaving the user alone until they reach the moment in time when Meridian pulled the target too. Meridian cannot be resummoned during this time.

Untimely, though powerful, has its downsides. Although it doesn't cost much CE for Meridian to pull targets ahead in time, it does cost a lot of CE to summon Meridian, and it does take a notable amount of time for the shikigami to fully manifest compared to other shikigami techniques. Additionally, like most other shikigami, Meridian will dissipate if sufficiently damaged.

CTR: By using RCE to summon Meridian, the user manifests the same shikigami but with bloodshot red skin and a piercing blue eye in its middle called Naidirem. Naidirem is always half as physically strong and large as the user’s Meridian, and instead possesses the ability to briefly pull targets back in time, essentially rewinding time for them while allowing them to keep their current knowledge. The target will be placed at the location and position it was in at the moment it was pulled to.

Hollow technique: By summoning Meridian with equal amounts of RCE and CE, a feat requiring incredible focus, the user can create a purple form of Meridian with a gleaming indigo eye called Meridirem. Meridirem is 4 times weaker and smaller than Meridian, and its ability is unknown. All targets successfully “pulled” by Meridirem have never been seen again. Some theorize that they are pulled to a place out of time entirely, while another theory posits that they are pulled to an alternate timeline of sorts that “sits” directly parallel to our own.

Domain Expansion: Untimely’s domain manifests a large, open field covered in large sundials of various shapes, styles, and orientations. The sky is enveloped in dark, murky clouds, from which a bright red light occasionally (determined by the user) shines onto the battlefield, causing the sundials to display time by their shadows. Targets must be caught in one of these shadows to be targeted by the sure-hit. The sure hit of the domain expansion is an enhanced version of the Merdiain shikigami, which, instead of bringing the target only a few seconds or minutes ahead at a time, brings them to what the user describes as “the end of time”.

Supreme Art: Timeless
By using Chimera Shadow with Meridian, an Untimely user can become one with Meridian and pull themselves forward in time at any moment without having to worry about Meridian being summoned due to damage. They can even activate Meridian’s ability on anything surrounding them that they are touching. This already makes the user incredibly difficult to hit, but it can be pushed even further by having the user constantly pull themselves and essential items for their survival (like air) microinstants into the future. With this, the user achieves a “timeless” state where, although they appear physically present and can interact with their surroundings when they choose, they cannot be physically damaged, as they are never present at any given moment in time due to being pulled to the next. Of course, the user is still vulnerable to Domain Expansions and phenomena that interfere with the usage of cursed techniques, along with abilities that interfere with the flow of time.

Notes: I feel like this CT is supposed to be an allegory for something, but I'm not sure. Feedback and constructive criticism are appreciated, as always. Especially so for the CT name; I'm basically using a filler one since I can't quite come up with one that captures the essence of the technique in a succinct way.

Am I crazy for not using MBA in my Top 20 lists?

Idk, I see everyone doing it now (I swear it used to be less common a while back), so I want to see if I'm missing something.

My reasoning:

- It is a suicide move: Similar to Yuki creating a black hole or Megumi summoning Mahoraga, it is a move that, even if it kills the opponents, is also guaranteed to kill you as well, meaning it can only get a draw at best. Like Gojo said, "Winning by dying and winning even if you die are completely different". I think suicide moves fall like MBA fall under the first category, and in the world of JJK, shouldn't be considered part of a sorcerer's real power.

- It's incredibly out-of-character: Generally, I try to scale characters to the best of my ability in tier lists and match-ups, as I think mindset/BIQ/etc are just as much a part of a character's kit as their actual powerset (and it's more interesting to scale this way IMO). It is made incredibly clear that Kashimo won't use MBA against anyone that isn't Sukuna or on Sukuna's level (so like 4 people that he can't kill anyway), even when faced with loss/death.

It's incredibly boring to scale: Don't get me wrong, I think the idea of MBA is incredibly cool, and the design (Especially the fanart of it, like the one I included here) is awesome, but in terms of actual feats and shown abilities, it really doesn't bring much to the discussion IMO, especially not to the degree where it makes it worth it to disregard the other two points. It's either Kashimo speedblitzes and one-shots with EM waves or gets domain-diffed/one-shot. Regardless of how powerful you think MBA Kashimo is, it's a pretty formulaic fight progression for pretty much anyone he fights, which is rather uninteresting.

Note: This isn't meant to be a Kashimo hate post. I think Kashimo's fanbase can be a bit obnoxious sometimes, but most characters' fanbases are like that, so I try to separate my opinion of the two the best I can. I'm just trying to understand where this trend I've been seeing on this sub arises from, and what I may be missing about it.

Petition to get a "Deskunte" and "Rumelian" flair

We've got flairs for other major parts of jujutsu society (major clans, curses, etc), so I think it would be cool if we had something to represent these guys since they're a very important part of the jujutsu world in Modulo.

While we're at it, more opportunities for special flairs could be cool. Maybe like a "heavy-hitter" flair if you have a Top 50 post in this sub or something like that.

Also kind of related, but what happened to the Grade flairs? I remember we used to have Grade 1-4 as an option for a flair, but those don't seem to appear in the flair loadout anymore. Were they removed?

Learnable Technique: Chimera Shadow

Requirements

  • Strong enough understanding of one’s innate domain to create a domain expansion
  • Soul Perception
  • Great synchronicity and experience with one’s shikigami

Description: By summoning their shikigami within their own innate domain, sorcerers can freely gain the abilities and attributes of their shikigami on their own physical body. With enough mastery, sorcerers can use shikigami manifestation to heal their bodies and sub in to take damage in their place.

Drawbacks

  • Though powerful, this technique can pose a serious risk to oneself, as manifesting a shikigami in one’s innate domain opens one's soul up to be intertwined with that of the shikigami, ending up as a creature more curse than human. Soul perception and experience are required to counter this, though even that is not always sufficient if the user is careless.
  • Because many shikigami rely on physical mediums, users may need to make binding vows to summon them in their innate domain rather than the physical world.

Lore: This learnable technique was developed by Megumi Fushiguro in his later years, intended to help his failing body continue standing alongside Yuji Itadori as “the strongest”. However, Megumi never truly enjoyed jujutsu sorcery and didn’t want a prolonged life, only doing this to remain with Yuji and ease his loneliness. Yuji saw this and, alongside wanting Megumi to avoid the risks this technique posed, convinced him to forego using it to live as a human. Yuta Okkotsu made use of this learnable ability, though he tapered off using it after Maki’s death. However, Rika maintained the function of shikigami bonding within the ring cursed tool, and can form a bond with anyone on physical contact with the ring, provided they give their consent.

JJK verse vs HxH verse

Round 1: Everyone is dropped onto the battlefield knowing who their teammates and enemies are, but without any time to plan beforehand (planning can still be done on the battlefield). Neither side has any prior knowledge of their opponents.

Round 2: Each side gets 24 hours solely for planning (no one on either side can attempt to grow in power) and has the option to watch the anime/read the manga of the opposing side.

Specifications:

- Includes only named characters that are present in the story at some point (so no theoretical dark continent calamities, Sugawara no Michizane, etc).

- Assume Verse Equalization (CE interacts with Nen as if it were CE, Nen interacts with CE as if it were Nen)

- Every character knows who is on their side and who isn't (so no friendly fire purely off of mistake).

- Assume every character is in their prime form that we see them in, and that doesn't interfere with the presence of other characters (ex: Both Megumi and Megkuna or both Youpi and Post-rose Meruem can be present at the battle).

- Alluka and Takaba have fucked off to the middle of nowhere to have a tea party and are unreachable at any point throughout the battle (so the battle can actually happen)

Yo is it just me or have we been losing members?

A couple of weeks ago, we had like 100k members, and now we're only at 95k. I don't think I've ever seen a subreddit lose noticeable amounts of members unless there was some controversy or a Reddit-side issue, so why is it happening here? Was there just an influx of people from JJK season 3?

Zenin Clan Inherited Technique: Imaginary Friends

Description: Imaginary Friend (IF) is an inherited technique within the Zenin clan that allows the user to summon Shikigami using their own imagination as a medium, rather than a physical one. This comes with both its benefits and downsides. Using their imagination, IF users can create a shikigami with nearly any specifications, and can summon them almost anywhere in a given radius around themselves, due to not needing to pull them from a physical medium. Because of their imagined nature, these shikigami are also usually invisible and can only be seen with enhanced senses, similar to Shrine's slashes.
However, these shikigami are also incredibly fickle because of their imagined nature and will dissipate if the user loses focus for even a second, which is very easy to do in battle. Additionally, though users could theoretically create shikigami of almost any ability, they were still limited by their ability to imagine them. For example, no user of this CT has ever managed to create anything close to Mahoraga, because no one really knows exactly how or why Mahoraga and its adaptation work.

Lore: Both downsides led IF users throughout Zenin clan history to focus on creating strong, powerful shikigami that could fight for them, often based on known powerful animals, such as tigers, wolves, and bulls. Many of these animals overlapped with those of the 10 shadows technique, which was rarely a coincidence. Zenin's children were often told about the power and sacredness of the 10S, leading many IF users to emulate it to try and gain similar reverence among their families.
This fighting style was especially common among women who inherited the technique, as they were taught always to be subservient, which reflected in their combat, where they relied on their shikigami rather than themselves more often than not.
This mindset around IF changed after the massacre of the Zenin Clan by Maki Zenin Okkotsu. After the massacre of all the combatants in the clan, the remaining children were (after MUCH protest) taken in by Maki and Yuta into the reformed Gojo clan, where they were taught more modern ideals (not being misogynist assholes).
This upbringing led to a reinterpretation of the IF technique held by one of the Zenin children. Instead of being taught subservience and conservatism like her ancestors, she was taught to value herself and her independence. These values, along with seeing the power of Maki's physical prowess, led her to use her IF shikigami not as fighters, but as supporters for her own physical combat.

Modern IF Shikigami:

  • Pufferfish: A shikigami based on a pufferfish, and can rapidly expand its body by absorbing the air around it, similar to what a real pufferfish does with water (but much stronger). This ability is used to give rapid speed boosts during sudden expansion. It can also be used in tandem with physical blows to knock opponents very far away.
  • Velvet Worm: A shikigami based on the freshwater bacterium Caulobacter crescentus, which produces one of the stickiest substances in nature. The Velvet worm shikigami possesses a similar ability that immobilizes enemies and leaves them open to attack.
  • Manta Ray: A shikigami that possesses a large flat body and can float through the air as if it were swimming through water. This shikigami can make the user appear to float when standing on it and can block AOE attacks with its large, flat body.
  • Suicide Ant: A shikigami based on the Malaysian exploding ant (Colobopsis saundersi), which can undergo autothysis to violently release a corrosive secretion with immense force. This shikigami's death is often timed with a physical blow, making opponents believe they were suddenly hit with an incredibly powerful punch, almost like a black flash. Until the corrosion kicks in, at least.
  • Water Bear: A shikigami based on a microscopic tardigrade, known for its incredible survivability in space or under extreme pressure, temperature, radiation, etc. This shikigami appears as a much larger (but still small) tardigrade and takes powerful blows in place of the IF user.

These shikigami, while still being based on real creatures so as to be better imagined by the user, are not intended to stay around for long, only perhaps taking a single action before being consciously left behind by the user. This eliminates one of the technique's major weaknesses, intense sustained focus, and instead only requires brief stints of it.

Domain Expansion: Arena of Imagined Reality

The modern user of Imaginary Friends is the first user of IF ever to unlock its domain expansion, so it is unknown what the domain of earlier IF interpretations was.
The domain of IF appears as a large MMA-style fighting ring at the center of a large auditorium. The stands of the auditorium are filled with dozens of copies of the IF shikigami, which cheer uproariously for the victories of the caster.
The sure-hit effect of this domain is incredibly unique in that it actually applies to the caster, transferring the mental load of imagination to the domain and thus permitting the near-constant summoning of IF shikigami.
The modern user of Imaginary Friends also has a 6th shikigami bound to the domain by a binding vow that amplifies its size and strength, based on the horned dung beetle, known for being able to push up to 1141 times its bodyweight. Since the shikigami is about the size of an adult human male, it is incredibly powerful, able to donut nearly any sorcerer it can land its attacks on. The caster fights alongside the dung beetle shikigami in their domain, working to combo opponents into its devastating attacks.

Equal and Opposite Reaction

Base technique

Equal and Opposite Reaction (EaOR) allows the user to absorb the speed from anything they can perceive within a given radius of themselves, with physical contact always guaranteeing 100% speed transfer (though 100% speed transfer can be achieved without physical contact through training). Theoretically, this allows a user of this CT to avoid nearly any physical attack by siphoning its momentum, slowing it down while speeding themselves up.
Though EaOR is incredibly powerful defensively, it can also be dangerous if the user is not careful with how they use their added speed. Though EaOR amplifies the user’s reaction speed in proportion to their actual speed, it does not amplify their durability, so the user can still take damage from the transferred speed, especially if they misuse it or crash into things. It also cannot steal momentum from attacks that operate at levels the user cannot perceive, such as the cellular or atomic levels, or nonphysical attacks.
Alongside stealing momentum from attacks, users can also steal it from environmental factors like sounds and (very, very small percentages of) light, giving them sudden bursts of speed even without an opponent attacking them.

Cursed Technique Reversal

Equal and Same Action (EaSA) allows the user to transfer their speed to any target within a certain radius, moving them in any direction the user chooses. With more precision, this reversal can even target specific parts of a target’s body and instead act more like a physical blow than a movement.

Hollow Technique

True and False Action (TaFA), the hollow technique of EaOR, combines the lapse and reversal to essentially puppeteer the target, so long as the target remains within the user’s radius. Any movement they attempt to make is immediately slowed by the lapse and redirected by the reversal. The hollow technique requires immense focus to use, and usually requires the dismissal of all other uses of this technique. It can also be countered if the target chooses to remain completely still.

Domain Expansion: Third Law’s Resting Place

The domain expansion for EaOR creates seemingly infinite picture-perfect green rolling hills under a starry night sky filled with dozens of shooting stars. These stars go at all sorts of speeds, from only a few miles per hour to nearing the speed of light. At any time, the user can transfer speed to and from these stars using the lapse or the reversal anywhere in the domain, essentially gaining full control over how fast they are going.

Simple Autonomous Technique Activation

Lore: This learnable technique was developed shortly after Atsuya Kusakabe made the New Shadow Style publicly available. NSS was traditionally used only by sorcerers without innate techniques to compensate for their lack of one, so naturally, there was little experimentation with cursed technique usage through simple domains. When it was opened to the public, one of the first things sorcerers with innate techniques attempted to create was a way to incorporate the speed of Batto Sword drawing into technique activation, which was refined into Simple Autonomous Technique Activation (SATA).

Mechanisms: Instead of causing cursed energy to circulate through a sword scabbard (like Batto sword drawing) or through the user's whole body (like evening moon drawing), it circulates cursed energy through the area of the user's brain where their innate cursed technique is engraved (the "black box") to activate the cursed technique and target whatever entered the simple domain. This is often combined with a binding vow that exchanges the ability to use NSS while holding a weapon for removing one's simple domain maintenance conditions outside a domain (hand signs, body position, etc.) while maintaining normal output.

Examples: SATA works best with Cursed Techniques that possess quick, simple attacks or defensive movements, making it difficult to use with shikigami techniques (ex: Ten Shadows) or purely utility techniques (ex: Miracles). Some CTs it could work well with are

- Shrine: Activates dismantles that are created extremely close to or even on the invading opponent/projectile, punishing offensive assaults with swift offense in return.

- Ice Formation: Swiftly creates a small chunk of ice around the invading opponent/projectile to hamper its momentum and damage it with extremely cold temperatures.

- Sky Manipulation: Causes the sky to take a single fold to redirect the trajectory of the invading opponent/projectile based on what the simple domain calculated.

- Cursed Riposte: Activates the CR Absorption ability for 1 second, granting a window of invulnerability for counterattack.

Deskunte Technique: [____] and Sound

Base Technique: The base technique allows for the manipulation of sound. Though sounding straightforward, this has a myriad of uses, such as

  • Amplifying normally extremely quiet soundwaves, allowing for a level of echolocation
  • Disorienting a target's equilibrium and causing damage to their ears with loud sounds
  • Sending slashes at targets by condensing soundwaves into fine points
  • Breaking objects at their resonant frequency, which can be determined via echolocation.

The indescribable [____]: Though the sound manipulation can be strong on its own, it can become less useful as a sorcerer advances, primarily due to a lack of power and speed (usually capped around the speed of sound). The [____] trait associated with Sound adds heat based on the user’s anger. The angrier a sorcerer is, the hotter their CE and CT applications will be.

  • This trait amplifies the user’s sound because the speed of sound increases in hotter environments. It also increases the user’s lethality, as all their attacks with CE leave burns that are difficult to fight through and heal from. Experienced users can even increase Sound’s potency/range by making the air above their sound hotter, causing it to refract downwards and thus “bounce” around more.
  • This trait applies to all applications of CE, meaning that the user’s CE-infused blows can also contain immense heat, causing damage to anyone that makes contact with them and burning away weak projectiles. However, extensive use of [____] can cause burns.

World-Self: The world-self of Sound essentially turns the user into a sentient soundwave. Though this does give them a speed boost (since sound is naturally faster than most living organisms, and users can further augment their speed with reinforcement), its main boon is that it allows for a sort of phasing, like how sound can travel through walls. With this, users can cause immense internal damage to any target that “hears” them.

CTR: The CTR of [____] and Sound makes the user’s [____] instead remove heat, causing their sound attacks to be slower (since sound travels slower in cold spaces) but cause near absolute-zero temperatures in an area. A user can also make their soundwaves more potent by lowering the temperature below them, causing them to refract downwards more (like with the lapse earlier, but in the opposite direction).

Domain Expansion: The Domain Expansion of this technique transmutes the target into sound waves that reverberate around the domain and can be further amplified by the caster to harm the target further.

Notes: Creating this was much easier than I thought it would be, ngl. Y’all should fr give this simurian shit a try sometime, it may seem daunting at first, but it’s actually not that bad. Sure, this technique isn’t perfect (I’m not really satisfied with my DE and not exactly sure if anger could work as a [____] activator, but kept it in to add some flavor), but it's still solid IMO given how little time it took me.

My headcanon is that Dabura got the Deskunte Equivalent of the Limitless+Six eyes with his CT (A technique that would normally be useless but is incredibly powerful when combined with a specific trait), so I tried to create a Deskunte technique that, while not as immediately powerful as Dabura’s, had some utility/usefulness without its [____], like how most Earth techniques can work just fine by themselves.

Also, shoutout to u/JJN13 for inspiring me to do this. I saw his [____] and wind post he made a while back (which he seems to have deleted? Idk I spent like 20 minutes looking for it and cannot find it), and I finally got around to doing my own take on it. This is pretty fun, so I might create a few more Deskunte techniques and maybe experiment with a few more elements of them.

CE-less Yuji vs every U.S. President

Not sure whether to mark this as cross-verse, since U.S. presidents should exist in the JJK world.

Round 1: Episode 1 Yuji vs Every U.S. President during the time of their presidency

Round 2: Modulo CE-less Yuji vs Every U.S. President during their physical prime

Other Specifications:

- Both rounds take place at the White House (current), but neither side can attempt to find/use weapons in it.

- Everyone is willing to kill their opponent(s) but are otherwise in-character/like themselves.

Who are the Top 5 Leeches in the verse?

Inspired by this post

Either in-verse (Relies on another character for their power a lot) or in powerscaling (Relies on another character for their feats/narrative rather than their own).

Here are some good contenders (note I'm just making arguments for them, just because they're here doesn't mean I actually believe it)

- Toji: Do I even need to explain this one?

- Hakari: A fair amount of his scaling relies on his relativity statements with Yuta, despite him having a fair share of his own showings.

- Modulo Yuji: A fair amount of his scaling relies on his potential relativity statements to Sukuna/Gojo in OG JJK

- Miguel: Relies a lot on the statement from Gojo about Miguel "beating him in the sprint" (something like that I don't remember the exact translation).

- Sun, Moon, and Star Squads: Literally no indicator of their power outside being comparable to Uro. You could also extend this leeching to Yorozu, though from what I've seen most people use her performance against Sukuna to justify a high placement.
