I’m not convinced that they didn’t intentionally model this townie after Bobby, if you zoom in closely you can see that he’s even got the same nose.

I started using this account of mine a few months ago after my main account got shadow banned because of being hacked to post NSFW spam. I submitted a BUNCH of appeals and never got any response, so I just kinda gave up and switched to this account.
Now today, I got an email saying that account is permanently banned. I don’t even understand how this is possible when I haven’t used the account in months. Was that their response to my appeal? Every appeal I submitted said “I was hacked, but I have changed my password and regained control of my account.” In what way would that constitute a permanent ban? I can’t even tell if this is an actual response for the appeal or not, since it’s just an automated message that offers no further details on what I did that got me banned.
I submitted another appeal just now, but seeing as my shadow ban appeals never got any attention, I’m not holding my breath. I’m guessing this means that other account is as good as gone now?
I’m currently looking for social media manager/specialist roles (ideally remote) and it is so brutal right now that I’m becoming extremely discouraged. I am currently employed, but I’ve been struggling financially because my salary is on the low end, so I’ve been looking for other roles, and finding something within the salary range I want is next to impossible.
This job listing sent me into a fit of rage. If this is real, this company needs to be reported. This range literally starts at a rate below minimum wage in most states, including where I live. And yet they want 5 years of experience and have a massive laundry list of qualifications and expectations? What the fuck is wrong with people??
And the worst part is that they’ll probably still get applicants for this.
I’m currently in the Pisa region for a friend’s wedding, and we’re supposed to leave by train to go to Milan on Thursday morning, but now we’re being told that a train strike that day might get our trains canceled. We have a hotel to check into that night that we booked through Chase Travel (unsure if refundable), and we booked a walking tour of the city for that afternoon (3:45pm) that is non refundable (I booked through Viator and reached out to the tour operator - they seem pretty indifferent to the situation and told us it is non refundable regardless of whether our trains get canceled).
I heard that supposedly trains from 6am to 9am are guaranteed. Our initial train leaves at 8:18am, but we have multiple transfers that leave after that window (La Spezia at 9:33 and Genoa at 11:28).
I’m really unsure of what to do right now, I’m told by the tour operator that the strikes frequently get canceled, but I don’t want to bank on that and wind up screwed if it’s not canceled. I tried looking into FlixBus, but our only option that would get us there in time for the tour leaves at 6:15am and would be contingent on us getting a taxi to the place it leaves from in time (we’re staying in Asciano Triesta Chiesa and it sometimes takes a minute to get a taxi to us).
I did see a direct train (no transfers) that leaves at 8:55am that morning. Since it’s before 9am would it be guaranteed? Or is it still a toss up? I’m not sure if we need to get a rental car now, I’d rather not, I don’t think me or my husband are comfortable driving in a foreign country
I’m coming to Italy next week for my best friend’s wedding in Pisa, and we’re doing a day trip to Florence on one of the days. It’ll be my second time in Florence. The first time I came I saw the David statue at the Accademia Gallery, so I’d like to do something different this time.
Two things that have stood out to me are Uffizi Gallery and Pitti Palace. The gallery interests me because it has the Birth of Venus painting, which I’d love to see in person. But the pictures I saw of Pitti Palace online look gorgeous, and I love the idea of stepping foot inside a Renaissance era palace. I don’t think I’ll have time to do both attractions, and I feel the need to budget myself either way, so I want to choose one or the other but I’m torn.
Which of these do you think would be more worth it? Fwiw, in the afternoon we are doing a pasta-making class in Borgo Pinti, so I’m not sure if I should pick something nearby that area. But with the amount of time we’ll be in the city I’m sure we’ll have more than enough time to walk our way there or take a cab if it does end up being too far.
EDIT: Welp lmao I was gonna buy tickets to Uffizi after reading these but it appears that they are closed on Mondays, which is the day we’ll be there 🫠
Was hoping we could get Pitti Palace instead but nope they’re closed Mondays too! Oh well, guess I’ll find something else
