Decapitation and regeneration

I just finished the manga after being a big fan of the anime, and I thoroughly enjoyed it!! It has left me with one question tho-

Kaimans head was decapitated and preserved in formaldehyde, and this later gave nikaido the opportunity to go back in time to fetch him and regenerate him. Could the same thing have happened to Aikawa and even possibly Kai if their heads got decapitated and preserved in an earlier part of the story? Or would this have not been able to happen cause of Holes stronger grip on their bodies?

[TOMT] [2000s plush toy line] animal plush toys with the water expandable gimmick, Dunk-a-[blank]

Water expand plush toys of various animals, possible blind box gimmick along with it too. Location Serbia, but it was most likely from some international toy company. Name was something like Dunk-a-Dus(?), I remember referring to them as Dankadus. They were fairly simple looking, not that cartoony, and facial details were done with embroidery. I used to have a hamster, and it was white with brown splotches. They were around the size of an adults palm, stuffing was sturdy after getting expanded, and I think the different animals were in laying positions. I don't remember what the other animals of the line were. I think the packaging might've worked as sort of capsule/home you could keep them in, but we threw away the packaging after we expanded mine.

Any help on this would be appreciated :)

What are examples of archaic slang/ways of speaking in Utena?

I have seen it being said that the characters (or specifically Urena) speak in an outdated sort of way, comparable to American sixties slang. What are specific examples and scenes of this? Is this another stylistic choice to heighten the feeling of wrongness/eternality/timelessness of Ohtori and the story itself?

Shocked that temu has such a nice selection of outfits for cheap prices and okay quality but I'm not complaining. On Miu it's a full set + some personal accessories, Michelle is wearing mixed and matched pieces from multiple sets, including a labubu outfit set 😁 I think they look so darling now

Did Tokiko abuse Mamiya the same way Akio abuses Anthy?

I finished rgu not too long ago, it was my first watch, and I've been thinking about it a lot and perusing discussions about it on here and on Tumblr. One thing I come across on occasion is people discussing Tokiko, Mamiya and Mikage/Nemuro, and brining up parallels between them and Akio, Anthy and Utena, and this is very obvious to me. However I see people sometimes stating that Tokiko incestually abused Mamiya the same way Akio does to Anthy, and I don't really see where this reading is coming from. Yes, she does come across as overly protective over him, and then ofc there's the parallels between them and Akio and Anthy, and ofc no sibling relationship presented in Utena has been healthy, but aside from these factors I didn't really pick up on any implication to corroborate that statement. What are your thoughts on this reading?

Unpopular opinions about the lore

I have in general found the world presented to us in the show very beautiful and immersive, but there are a few things that have bothered me about some extraneous tidbits about the lore.

First is the tidbit that allegedly the gem empire never encountered sentient and intelligent life forms on par with humans on the hundreds of planets they colonized before. If that is the case why are a lot of resources dedicated to the creation of gem soldiers of various types and ranks? Sure, I can imagine the soldiers coming in handy for brute force jobs required when colonizing, possibly even needed to defeat local wildlife on planets, but the sheer number of soldiers that exist and were constantly being produced til era 3, as well as all the military infrastructure they have... I can see it either as a possibile cop out from the writers when questioned about the horrors the gem empire inflicted on unknown species, or a silent implication of other rebellions cropping up in the gempire since the beginning of their earliest era.

The other factoid about the lore that annoys me, albeit to a lesser extent is the fact that all four diamonds seemed to emerge at roughly the same time, 20000 years ago. This is really more of a personal gripe, but with how young Pink Diamond acts compared to the other three, as well as her being significantly shorter which implies she was overcooked like Amethyst, I can't imagine her emerging at the same time as the others. I can't even personally see blue and yellow emerging at the same time with white. Maybe it can be explained with white and to a lesser extent blue and yellow sucking up all the resources and that being the reason why pink came out so small and immature, but with her being restricted for a long time from colonizing reads more to me that she was newer and they were still waiting on her to mature at least a little before they gave her a planet. She really does read like their child/kid sister rather than a peer to me.

Does anyone else have problems with some aspects of the lore?

Onemore Sugary girls Violetta (she's an mjd.) - 1/8

Chuz Cooze devil horns Lust - smaller 1/8 (the epets and Cooze heights pretty much equal out. The sizing is pretty fluid and arbitrary in the blind box realm I think?)

The pics are from my archive, taken at various points in time, as I'm currently away from them, so that's why there's a discrepancy in lighting, quality. Forgive me. These are all the rest of my dolls that are not under the uf doll brand.

Quick thoughts: The epets are the dearest to me, with the character designs being the most well rounded and cute. I will definitely be getting some from the next series of them too.

I love my bonbon but I lament that she didn't come with inset eyes. She along with the epets is the highest quality imo. Her clothes are a mix of her og and custom pieces.

The Bonnie is very precious to me, and I wish that the uf doll mianmian would've gotten that type of magnetic stand pad too, instead of ones you have to separately buy -.- I plan to make a yarn wig for her as I received her skull with her too

The sugary girl has a very soft, almost velvety feeling to her body, but I dislike that her arms fall out of their sockets very easily. One of her feet also came very loose. I don't know if these kinds of issues with the joints are typical with mjds but it has kinda put me off from buying more of these kinds of dolls. She is wearing clothes from an outfit pack, instead of her originals.

And the Cooze. My dear sweet Cooze. Trash daughter. You might notice she has white bangs. That's bc her painted green ones didn't fit on her goddamn head. Some of her outfit pieces didn't fit either, so I swapped some clothing pieces form a bonus epets leopard outfit pack I had to complete her outfit or to swap out og clothing items that had hot glue marks 😭. She is incredibly bad quality. She is also very characterfull and had one of my favorites character designs of all of them, so she is up there in my ranking, fortunately or unfortunately. I had bought her to customize her into a different character but I'm afraid I might not go through it now bc I've fallen in love with her 😭

Ranking: Bunny from epets > Cooze Lust > Snail from epets > Pink Bonnie = Popping Candy Bonbon (love them pretty equally) > Sugary girls Violetta > Leopard from epets

UF Doll collection

I own a good couple of blind box bjds, but my absolute fav ones are the ones from the UF Doll brand. They're Cherry yogurt from the 1/5 drink series, the CCTV x autna aka Cat TV series and the Mianmian Strange World series.

I have swapped the heads of the mianmian and the cat tv, to great results if I do say so myself. My 1/6 hybrid has been made a custom little jester hat too, bc I love the clown vibes her og outfit has. The larger hybrid of the two has been named Miu, the little chibi tv head and cherry yogurth doll do t have definitive names yet, but I love them all very much.

UF Doll has some of the most quality blind box bjds in my opinion, and I have no problems with them, aside for maybe sometimes coming with magnets that have gone unstuck. Though, the drink doll, which is my recent and is the one of the newer lines of the brand hadn't come with any magnet issues, and I think has better engineering design than the other two (the mianmians plastic hair pieces were always too heavy, even on the larger doll body, and the UF Dolls body lacks those little "notches" in the wrists to rest the S hooks in while changing out the hands, so I have to use hair clips to hold the elastic, for example. The drink doll has not only those wrist notches, but also magnetized hands you can change out for non magnet hands, so you get the best of both worlds).

I'm very exited to see what this brand puts out next in the blind box realm.
