How many shitloads are in a fuckton?
And are shitloads a unit of mass or length?

I wonder if somewhere inside the dense gas a single hydrogen pair fuses into helium and the rest follows in some ridiculous cascade.
Same with a supernova. Is it one atom too many and kaboom?
It blows my mind that atomic interactions paint the cosmos. Is this reality?
Getting to know the Trijicon ACOG 1.5x16 I picked up this year. 50 yards low knee shooting. This would be my working rifle if society needs a middle aged dilettante to defend society against 2 foot wide rectangles who don't move or hide. I will answer the call with this drip!
I live in northern NJ. People used to be pleasant and friendly out and about. It's remarkably absent now and feels out of place to acknowledge a person passing by with a pleasant hello, nod, or smile.

My loving kindness practice is prompting me to do it anyeay because it feels empty and sad passing people by as if they aren't there. Im not saying I'm greeting everyone on 5th Avenue and I don't expect to buck the trend but I do think it benefits everyone and I can only do my part. So hello!
Just a back yard observation and eyeballed sketch lines. But if Jupiter and Venus both align well with the ecliptic, why are they so divergent? I would expect they'd be stacked right on top of each other. I'm sure my guess work is off but you can see where the sun set. Is my understanding off or am I not looking at it right?
I dipped into Joshua Tree National Park last week for a night sky viewing. Astounding. I rarely get to see summer constellations where I live. Scorpio was the highlight of the night.
As Antares rose, it appeared to have a super charged twinkle... seemingly with red and green tones. Even with binoculars. It was more intense than most stars even after it rose farther above the horizon. Is there something special about that star?
Traveling from NYC metro and spending a few nights in JT. I'd like to sweep the sky and enjoy the delights without too much fuss. A little tripod or mono is ok if you have a chonky suggestion.
Back home, I'm an ocasional backyard astronomer as best I can be wherein live. I have an 8" Dobsonian for deep sky viewing and a 90mm cassagarian. So post trip, Id like something that compliments my setup.
Budget is 100-300. Flexible but not ambitious. I don't want to accumulate junk, just for a trip.

What do you think, humans?
It doesn't spin or agitate. That noise happens when it tires. The water drains. I've kept this thing alive 3 times over the decades. I have it apart now. Can you tell by the noise ignite a clutch or belt issue? Thanks for your help.
