Installing safety straps/harness in box-style cargo bike

Hi all, I have a box-style cargo bike with a folding bench and straps to buckle in a kid that unfortunately will no longer stay tightened--when I tighten them, any meaningful pressure will loosen them again. The manufacturer doesn't make cargo bikes anymore. Any tips for replacing straps like that (including "go look at this other subreddit" or "go to your nearest cargo bike store and ask them to do a custom job")? The straps are screwed into the box using single screws with a hefty-looking bolt, but I have not tried unscrewing to see if there's anything special about the screws otherwise.

My mom gave us some super cute clothes that she got on Facebook marketplace, but some of them have definitely previously been washed with scented detergent. My husband and MIL are both super-sensitive to artificial fragrances. What’s the best way to get the smell out? We’ve already washed with a free & clear detergent and sprinkled in some baking soda for the wash - do we just keep washing?

For me, it’s always yard work, even with a snack. Really annoying, too, because usually if I’m doing yard work, it’s because I’m feeling inspired. What about you?
