“As I understand it, the league is all but certain to schedule a game this Sunday. This hasn’t been reported and could change, but if I were a betting man, I’d wager that unless Pistons Cavs goes the full seven, the first game of the Eastern Conference Finals will be on Sunday. Otherwise, Tuesday it is.”

The ECF Will Start on Tuesday May 19th.

With the Cavs holding off the Pistons and extending the series to at least 6 games, the Eastern Conference Finals will now start on Tuesday May 19th in New York (if the Cavs win the series) or in Detroit (if the Pistons win the series).

Make plans accordingly.

We should be rooting for Cleveland tomorrow, it guarantees us two extra days of rest. Or even if they lose tomorrow, but win one more game in their series, the ECF will start 5/19.

Only way it starts 5/17 is if Detroit wins the next two games.
