I normally go catfishing for big cats (and post them on that subreddit) but I’ve wanted to go out to the San Gabriel creek north of LA for a while to get some little trout. Any bait suggestions? I was thinking just little bits of worm.
Biggest short nose gar I’ve ever seen! Haven’t had one so big I can only fit my hand around half of it. All caught on a redhorse sucked.

Hi! I just found this fossil exploring the buttes in western South Dakota today. I’m thinking it’s an antler bc it looks like it has the same inner core structure that modern ones do. Also curious about what time period it might be from?

I’ve caught a million channel cats but never one with a blue ish head like this before. Ik it has the spots that channels have but it’s just such a beautiful fish! Caught it on the James River, a few miles from the Missouri.
